  • Fuck yes dude! He designed everything

  • Is this James Earl Jones narrating?

  • they made the CGI on 1992 and I think it was better than CGI this nowaday!!! Period!! really photo realistic!!

  • I simply LOVE JP, but one thing I wonder about is how a leading expert on dinosaurs like that Jack Horner they consulted, never told them that velociraptors weren't bigger than turkeys?

  • Goddamn they spent a bunch of money and put forth time and effort just to do the whole storyboard in clay animation?

  • 1:26 terminator!

  • okay....im gonna be honest. I only looked this up for the Explorers. This other stuff is an added bonus lol

  • John William rock! ne ne ne ne nenenene ne ne nene ne

  • I love Jurassic Park and his soundtrack. Like I love Steven Spielberg and almost all his movies, except Artificial Intelligence, and Munich.

  • If this were made today, it would been Sam Neil and the kids in a big empty green room and it would look like shit. Why can't they make 'em the way they used to with so much TLC?

  • What is this CGI. lolol

  • Damn those animatics look good enough for that time, shows the level they were aiming for was unprecedented.

  • I have seen some of these exact models personally and they look absolutely phenomenal.

  • eles iriam economizar um montao com o zbrush e vez de criar os personagens em robos

  • 7:05, Matt Heafy after taking a break from Trivium years later and getting into Animation.

  • Adam Fucking Jones

  • These effects are still perfect today. CGI dinosaurs aren't that real.

  • Am I the only one impressed by the "animatics"? Seems like a decent kiddie version of the real thing. hahaa

  • Very impressive ... so much work that went into it !!

  • The majority of the current movies doesnt have the big budget that Spielberg had doing JP to afford lots of very expensive animatronics and the very best sfx studio to make it all work together and be belivable. Its much easier to hire a cheap CGI studio to make all the work without spending with employees, cenarious, designers and logistics. The results obviously fails in comparrison but the public buys it anyway.

  • the splitter in the movie was scary looking

  • hahah at 1:26 you can see the terminators behind the T-rex sculp, thats epic

  • @21-23secs Adam Jones from TOOL

  • hey does anyone no where i can get a dvd of this movie?

cuz i never seen it before (DONT FREAK OUT THIS MOVIE IS OLDER THAN ME!)

but i've seen parts of it on videos here on youtube and it look like a REALLY cool movie

  • @LegoKing345 impossible to find, hundreds of years old, only fossil evidence remains that this movie even ever existed. also, don't use google.

  • @LegoKing345 Find a special Movie store..

I like in Mississuaga Ontario.. and there a movie store called Starstruck Entertainment.. they have everything.. maybe they have one where you are!

They're so awesome.. They remember my name and everything cause I go there all the time!

You must see this movie.. its fantastic! Epic! LEGEND!

  • @RebeccaM17 actually,i saw it on this channel called sy-fy a few days ago,it was really good but i can only remember one scene that was really intense (T-REX car scene) but it was overall good

  • @RebeccaM17 Wasn't it in square one.? Don't think it's there anymore. :\

  • @Archpally Nope its still there :) Bottom floor next to UB :)

I buy all my DVDs from there still

  • @RebeccaM17 Oh, lol. I guess I don't pay attention when I go there.

  • @Archpally lolz. well it is a big mall.

But how crazy is that you're from Sauga? lolz

    small world. big malls

  • @RebeccaM17 Lol yeah.

  • all i gotta say, they put it work |;o DAMN!!!

  • This and the lost world beats ALL fx and cgi TODAY

  • No offense to the paleontologist, but how can ANYONE know if velociraptors stuck their tongues to taste the smells in the airs like lizards?

  • @ztslovebird Because they were bird hipped, not lizard hipped.

  • @6Vital6Remains6 Dolphins have dorsal fins like sharks; doesn't mean they're fish.

  • Anyone else agree that the Go-Motion Dinosaurs didn't look THAT bad ??

  • 17 years old and still the best vfx ever seen. I swear cgi has gotton worse since this still lifelike wonder.

  • @jakamo The CGI hasn't gotten worse. It's the creators/directors who make this heartless stories thinking that the CGI will make up for it, I.E. Transformers 2 etc, and of course it doesn't and we end up with shitty movies.

  • @hitmancoolio That is true about crappy transformers films etc but I still stand by the fact that the CGI in JP1 was much superior to the crap in JP3 because of the love that went into crafting the CGI and Spielberg knew there was no point in doing it if it wouldn't work, so there was no compromise and as a result it's almost unbelievable till this day. Other films look nice but you are taken out of the experience straight away because it is obviously CGi.

  • ADAM JONES!!!! :D

  • Hey! 5 seconds in, a baby triceratops???

  • All the Jurassic Park movies never cease to amaze me. I want a Jurassic Park four!

  • Holyfuckinawesomestopmotionpuppets!

Do you realise they did the CGI back then with no fancy 3D studio max or whatever and the CGI in JP to this day, over 10 years later, does not look outdated; these people didn't fuck around.

  • @MarkArandjus Over 10 years later? Try 17 years later!!! Its amazing!

  • @IamChris90yall Um... 17 years later is included in 'over 10 years later' :P

    { x >10 ∧ x=N } ⊃ x = [11,12,13,14,15,16,17..., ∞)

  • I LOVE Steven Speilberg's attitude. He was having KID fun with it. Wonder if he was having the same nightmares with this as he did with Jaws.

  • I think this is the first time the making of a movie is just as magical as when i first saw it when I was 7.

  • :23 thats Adam Jones the guitarist of the band Tool...

  • 1:26

is that a terminator in the background? ;D

  • @XChrizz95X yeah coz they were also working on terminator 2 judgement day near enough at the same time

  • @deathbatFoREVer

    ah okay

  • what materials would tippet have used to make the stop motion dinos?

  • Hey, that's Adam Jones at :32. I've heard he was behind Jurassic Park.

  • @ironturtle89 YEAH! plus Terminator 2 and others

  • @ironturtle89 :22 :)

  • Ahh Steven Spielberg and that John Williams score is pure movie magic :)

  • @contourman yep, wow this is so cool to see them making this
