Veronica....an excellent interpretation. I am playing these dances for my recital in early May, 2010. Listening to several renditions on youtube has helped, but your performance has been the best, by far, in revealing an intelligent approach to the piece. Thank you!
It's really kind of you! Thank you so much! I am so glad that you like it! They are wonderful music, isn't it! I wish you enjoy playing them and have a wonderful recital! Yes I love playing Bartok, Janacek, Chopin... all the eastern european music! Wish to share your recording too!
Hi Veronica! This is such an electric performance, I like the 3rd dance most especially. The sound you get in the treble is eerie. I hope all is well with you. Much love, Keith Fordx
so nice to see you here! thank you so much for your kind and warm message! This is such a wonderful piece isn't it!? I just performed another concert today and played this piece again... How are you keeping?! Still in london?
Wish everything goes well with you, and please keep in touch and love to go to your concerts!
Thank your for uploading such an original and expressive interpretation of these pieces. When I started listening to No. 1 (which I frequently accompany violinists in) I thought that the tempo seemed incredibly fast - but it worked!
Ooooooops!!! Yes it did sound fast! I didn't realise before you mentioned! I just sit down and play, and my performance tempo tends to be in the fast side... thank you so much for your kind comments! I love these wonderful dances very much, and just love eastern european music so dearly! In fact, this was my recital 2 days ago which I featured all Eastern european composers!
I am giving a lunchtime recital in St. Pancras Church in London on this Thursday, 31st of July. I'd love to invite you if you have time to come! I will play this piece again!
(st. Pancras is right in front of Euston Station!)
