Great slideshow! My son and I applied for a May 2012 permit for this itinerary, so I was eager to see pics of this trip. We've been up the Kaibab as far as Ribbon Falls on previous hikes, but never to the north rim. Your sunrise pic at the beginning and sunset pics from Plateau Point are spectacular! I wish I could do our tip in October, but my son is in college, so May it is (if we get the permit)! Your video was very cool, as well as helpful! Thanks for sharing.
@landrysg thats great - hopefully you get the permit; took us three times and got it for the final day before the North Rim closed. Took the transcanyon shuttle to the north side and that was such a good trek! Then hiked to cottonwood in the morning, phantrom ranch for day 2, and indian garden for day 3 to take in plateau point at sunset before hiking out on the last day.
