  • Песня писалась для Ленинграда, " Ленинградские вечера". но Олимпиаде -80 требовалась запоминающаяся песня и её переименовали. В Ленинграде ночи белые гораздо более долгие они( у нас месяц, а в Москве всего четыре дня). Так что петь предпочитаю её в изначальном исполнении.

  • What a lovely blend of glimpses of Russian culture in the pictures. I really appreciate the efforts you make with the subtitles. Is that Dmitri Hvorostovsky singing?

  • I don't think all of those glimpses are the best of Russian culture - vodka, bacon and other meat foods; but the song is very mellow, yes.
