if you buy the rock steady tour dvd, there are a lot of backstage footage. one funny one is where the band is sitting down watching one of their concerts and pause it on a moment of gwen making a "pirate" face. watching them laugh at her and rewinding it over and over again is hilarious!

She took ideas from: Dale Bozzio, Marilyn Monroe, Annabella Lwin, Debbie Harry, The film "Tank Girl", Madonna, plus unknown local artists too (which wasn't fair). She confesses this in the song "Magic's in the Makeup". Anyone keeping up with the local SoCal music scene in the early 90's, saw it happen before their eyes. She changed her image again in 2002: Gwen3 lol
