I think its good she stayed alive..the reason I say this is that by the 2020s they will probably be able to synthesize new hands and ears for her that would work perfectly, by the 2030s to 40s theyd probably be able to restore her body to normal using advanced technology and by 2050, they could synthesize a new face from scratch to custom specifications to make her finally look like she did in1999 before the accident.I just don't know if shed live that long till 2050.I wish her the best of luck.

Maybe she was crying out to live, how can you kill somebody that is begging for life? I mean I wasn't there and obviously I don't know, I have seen extreme cases though where people have sustained injuries that you would expect to cause instant death. These people are still alive, more then most in good health.

Roads are the way they are for a reason the directions they turn are determined by property lines and the geographical features (sturdiness) of the underlying gravel, dirt, rock, etc. I do agree that some roads, intersections, etc. are designed quite poorly but a safer road does not make a safer drunk driver.
@IrishBean well, alcohol lowers your reaction speed and other things but this is the main thing I'd like to adress, in villages, roads are formed there were houses were built, and for a road this may mean some 90 degrees curves and other view limiting obstacles, mostly the increasing demand for "green" is a cause of this view limitation, which is making the road unsafe, because lot of crashes happen in curves, mostly in villages, more than on the highway.

she was beautiful and because of the one mistake of driving drunk her live has been ruined. I understand that he didn't intend for that to happen but because of his bad judgment he should be put away for life...and to all the people with the rude comments, you really should quit, what if this happened to you? @lecool122 They did save her, but look at her condition: She's had over 40 surgeries, she needs eyedrops or her vision is poor/destroyed. When they rescued her from the crash, her skin was destroyed! I know its all about saving lives, but doctors should really stop and think about the quality of life. If I was in her place, I would want them to let me die.

@danie142009 I'm a firefighter and EMT. Most people who are near death become amazingly strong, the will to live is extreme. Maybe she was crying out to live, how can you kill somebody that is begging for life? I mean I wasn't there and obviously I don't know, I have seen extreme cases though where people have sustained injuries that you would expect to cause instant death. These people are still alive, more then most in good health.

I said if the traffic system would be made a lot safer than accidents in general would lower, as wel as drunk drivers. I'm talking about certain curves, intersections and traffic lights. In smaller towns/cities the roads aren't always straight for hours.
It may be true that should not exist, if you belief that cheating death makes it follow you.
And btw, nobody has a purpose, untill you give it one.

Roads are the way they are for a reason the directions they turn are determined by property lines and the geographical features (sturdiness) of the underlying gravel, dirt, rock, etc. I do agree that some roads, intersections, etc. are designed quite poorly but a safer road does not make a safer drunk driver.

@IrishBean well, alcohol lowers your reaction speed and other things but this is the main thing I'd like to adress, in villages, roads are formed there were houses were built, and for a road this may mean some 90 degrees curves and other view limiting obstacles, mostly the increasing demand for "green" is a cause of this view limitation, which is making the road unsafe, because lot of crashes happen in curves, mostly in villages, more than on the highway.

i have my driver's license for almost 3 years now. and i have driven drunk (and high( a few times. Always had some sort of excuse "taxi is way too expensive" "i'm still fine", etc. Fuck that. Almost had an accident a few months back. Never again. It's just not worth it. To all retards, like myself in this matter, who like to drink & drive: It may have gone well every single time up until now, but it only takes ONE TIME gone wrong. And when that happens it'll be too late to turn back
