All of us moslems need to join you in Canada brother. Is it true that they give moslem free housing, healthcare, education and on top of that they give us money just for living there. Can we get Sharia law in Canada? And we don't need to find a job or pay taxes. Plus we can bring over all our wives as long as we don't call them wives? That is awesome brother dude. Do I just say asylum when I arrive at the airport? How can we can take advantage of the Canadian system

there should be no religious schools at all....our children should not be separated...it's a very sticky situation....but I do think that this society was founded and created on Christian values....I think we should continue to fund the existing schools and just not create anymore.....we should definately not allow islamic schools...in Britain they use books from Saudi which state Christians and Jews are pigs and monkeys

John Tory wanted to do this for Christian but it's PC to do it for all religious schools. However, nobody wants to fund Muslim schools so he lost and deservedly so.

Faith based tribunals are our religious right. They were given to Catholics, Aboriginals, and Jews before in Ontario. Muslims are just as entitled. Instead, Islamophobia and intolerance on people's parts towards Muslims exist. Alberta has faith-based funded schools. In fact many of the schools I've seen have principals that aren't even of that faith!

Segregation based on religion is just as sick as segregation based on socio-economic class. All private education should be banned from Canada. It should not be available (permitted to exist in Canada) at all. Individuals who wish to segregate their children should be forced to do so outside the borders of Canada - even if it means that they must leave the country themselves -.

separation of church and state..the only FAIR and LEGAL (in accordance with UN Convention and arguably the Canadian Charter) is ONE publically funded school system...meaning STOP publically funding the Catholic School system NOT initiate funding for other religious schools...religious schools can continue to exist, however, don't force taxpayers to subsidize their existence.

Currently in Ontario we fund only one religious denomination. We are not a theocracy. Our system is discriminatory and in violation of the UN International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. McGuinty sent all of his kids to a publically funded religious school yet wants to deny other Ontarians that right.
