Since when was the non-existence of God a concrete fact? An agnostic might be able to claim this, and I would respectfully disagree with such a statement, but an atheist - nope. I believe, and can prove through logical argument, that there is a good reason for the existence of God, and you can reason using other arguments that God may not exist. But to claim His non-existence is a concrete fact is clearly incorrect.

I was just pointing out how theists expect their god to behave in a lifelike manner(possessing memory, emotions, ect.) and be somehow magically exempt from all the various specifications life has to go through to be considered life. But you're right-I shouldn't try to explain someone else's fantasies with logic. That's impossible.

And Amberdrakey, Inanimate matter could never create such a complex and intricate universe, with such an organized world as ours is. Do you truly believe that matter-in the absence of life- could create such things as reproduction, homeostasis, etc? It's a question, not at all an accusation.

Also, Christianity isn't about religion- it's a relationship. I don't have faith in some "mythical god" you speak of..

We were created in His image to bring glory to Him and this can only be done when we have been wahsed in the blood of His only begotten son. Your comments made no sense. First you're talking about God so if there is a God then he is life in the spirit sense. Atheism is a world of view even if you don't gather each week to practice it. The belief there is no God and the belief that there is a God are both acts of faith. either God was there in the beginning or energy and matter caused it all to happen. Since energy cannot be created nor destroyed then it's creation or beginning is a mystery

Since life is material then God =/= life, and it couldn't possibly exist before matter did. No, Atheism is not a world view because it has no unifying dogma. If energy cannot be created or destroyed, then the logical assumption would be that it was never created in the first place.

Good response, but you're not gonna get anywhere by pointing out that God needs air. You're begging the theist to claim, "God doesn't need air! He's immaterial!" It's a myriad of post hoc hypotheses.

God does not conform to the rules of reality. Man makes the rules of metaphysics conform to his idea of God.

It's just that he was claiming that so-called personal, human-like life existed before matter, which regardless of the lack of air still doesn't make sense because life IS matter. If the theist claims that god is "immaterial" (not matter) then he can't also claim that god is life because life is matter... It's a gigantic knot of a nonsensical statement. Furthermore, if god is life then he must surely need air to breathe...
