I love MS-DOS 5. It's solid as a rock! I have been able to crash Linux without use of any external applications. Damn thing would just freeze sometimes for no reason :/

In all 20 years I have worked with DOS (Yes I still use it) I have never been able to crash it.

The "freeing up 45K of memory", the UNDELETE command, the MS-DOS Shell, and high compatibility with Windows were all selling points of the OS. The "teacher" even mentions that this'll be the first time DOS is being sold as a retail upgrade, and mentions how a customer base of 60 million people will mean big sales for the two stooges he's singing to, LOL.

Yeah I do miss MS-DOS, Its really to bad windows went with making internet explorer as the OS, I think you could really start to see it around 98 but I think 95/98 went well with me after that I would just love to have the old school shell/program with a lot of the memory upgrades and adjustments that has happened after all these years
