i think that sten is not his real name because if you take him into the fade the other qunari call him ''The Sten'' and he calls one of them ''The Arishok'' i think because they call each other that then maybe Sten is not his real name, just a grade in their sociaty?? if anyone has an anwser for me please tell??
@AnimationStudios3 I think The Arishok is like king of the Qunari..If I remember right The Arishok sent Sten and other Qunari soldiers to find out what is the blight

I have the option to negotiate his release but he doesn't even try to explain why he did slaughter that family. I don't believe he is a coldblooded psycho, but you just don't get any clues about what happened, at least not before you've picked him up. That could have been done better!
Meh... it wasn't that bad, what I found funny was his amazement and love for... of all things.. cookies. :p that made me giggle, the fact that he's a 7 foot tall marauding, bloodthirsty engine of destruction not withstanding. :)
As you get to know him, you learn why he did. Just give him the right gifts, bring him along on some of your adventures and talk about the stuff he mentions along the way. Then he eventually tells you why he did it.
