@IASU81 @coccoborg @pct1theory Please update this tutorial. To make it work on newer macs put it in the iTunes plugin folder as the tutorial says then go to your applications folder and find iTunes. Click on iTunes once then press the keys command + i (or right click and select get info) then on the window that pops up check Open in 32-bit mode.

you probably wont reply but it would be really helpful if you do, i've done everything you said to do, but when i hit view and go to visualizer it gives me the list of the different visualizers however the backlight option isnt there, hopefully you may be able to help me. thanks for the tutorial though.

I'd be very surprised to read if there's any factual info on it decreasing the life of the LED's behind the keys though. LED's are pretty rugged. I bet if it decreases LED life, it's minimal.

Did you restart iTunes after you dragged the file into the folder, if no, then delete what you put in and try it again, if the same thing happens, try restarting you're computer. If that does not work then I don't know what the problem is.
