It has nothing to do with the KJV. That was translated by a group of scholars, not by the King. However, it is not true to say that the stories about King James himself began only 25 years ago. They were current during his reign. He, like Edward and Richard "Lion Heart" (and his love affair with Phillip of France) were talked about (with less malice than in the 20th century) in their own life-times. It has been no great secret.
Best I could tell from what I read about him, was that he was a Tyrant and a coward who messed on himself when he saw a battle. He forced a retrial of a woman who was acquitted for witchcraft and forced the jury to convict her after she had been exonerated. He was a turd for sure.
You don't sleep with your guards, even if you've had attempted assassinations and kidnappings. You might have them stand guard all night in your room, or sleep in another bed, but sleeping in the same bed is unnecessary.
I must admit I had no idea that King Jame's sexuality was in question until I saw this video. And, now that you mention it, it does seem a little suspect to sleep the same bed as your guards. I mean if it's for security then what was wrong just sleeping in the same room?
However his possible homosexuality does not have any bearing on the standing of the King James bible - it was and is a great work of literature - mostly fiction of course.
Some of the biggest anti-homosexuality advocates are actually closeted gays who can't deal with their own sexuality. It's been proven before. Perhaps this is why in King James' translation of the bible, he condemns it. And notice that he mostly condemns gay men and not so much gay women. But to be honest, there's only one or two (disputable) verses on homosexuality in the bible. Modern Christians make such a big deal out of it as if it's the worst sin ever but it's really not.
@PrincessKLS Well Princess, it might actually mean that if they called it the King James Bible because he translated it. But that's not why it's called the KJV. It's called the KJV because he commissioned it. There were 47 translators. They were a collection of some of the world's best scholars. The King James Bible has been called "the monument of English prose" as well as "the only great work of art ever created by a committee".
@PrincessKLS The blacks like to think he (JamesVI and I) was black. He wasn't black but he most certainly was a faggot. Also using your stupid faggot reasoning, 'heterophobes', (which is about every ball sniffing but fondling queer out there) is probably a straight. Furthermore the people have condemned sodomy not what you re-label 'gay'/'faggotry' as gay was not a word then. Faggot was just a filthy way of behaving before the real revisionists had it removed from the list of mental illnesses.
Yes there is a scholarly work of some 400 pgs. by Christian author Otto Scott that documents the bisexuality & pedophilia of King James 1. The book "James: the fool as king" was published in 1976. The very fact that the man was a freemason is a dead giveaway to what is prevalent to high Masons: bisexuality, homosexuality, pedophilia, satanism, & debauchery. His contempoaries in England commonly referred to the man as Queen James. He lived an evil life & came to a bad end.
WHITE PEOPLE BE REALISTIC. WHEN THE DEVIL RABBI QUESTIONED JESUS FOR BLASPHAMY FOR CLAIMING HE WAS A KING AND THE SON OF GOD HE WAS RIDICOULED WHEN ASKED WHERE WAS IS KINGDOM .JESUS REPLIED HIS KINGDOM WAS NOT OF THIS WORLD.THE KINGDOM OF GOD NOT THE MATERIALISTIC WORLD.HOW CAN YOU THINK ARROGANT MURDERERS LIERS THIEFS OF ANY EUROPEAN MONARCHY THE MOST DEVILISH AND BLOOD THIRSTY SCUM THAT EVER WERE BORN WAS GIVEN THE OK BY GOD TO TRANSCRIBE THE BIBLE! HIS WORK IS OF THE DEVIL .
@GRAPEPONY Christ also said "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God, the things that are God's." (St. Matthew 22:21). Unless you are completely ignorant of history, you will know that Christ endorsed the most powerful monarchy on earth at the time. Caesar also referred to all legitimate authority to come, and to rebel against legitimate authority (including a certain Revolution) violates one of the commands of Christ.! Get to know your Bible more!
It should not matter whether King James was gay or a Mason because God chooses to use whom He will to do His will. In fact, one could make a strong case that King David had a homosexual relationship with Jonathan. But those who don't really know the Scriptures will say this is crazy- as if every man who had something to do with the Bible was perfect.
I invite you to see the Aimed At America 1 video because the 2020 prophecy revealed can only manifest through parallels in the King James Version.
Uhh... I'm studying history at the university - and although in my country, we don't study much about England (perhaps the British Empire, their secular alliance with my country, the creation of the Anglican Church, etc), I do know that there were some letters from the King, addressed to the Duke of Buckingham, in which he expresses his love (and sexual desires) about the Duke. I mean, personally, I may not agree with Homossexuality or their way of life or w/e. But lying? That's wrong.
King James to George Villiers, who became the Duke of Buckingham in 1623, in a letter from April 18th of that year (the body of the letter, left out here, deals with a Spanish mare and a 10-day-old foal): "My sweet Steenie [James's nickname for Villiers] gossip, The bearer hereof had so great a longing to see you as I was forced to give him leave. .. I pray the Lord send my sweet Steenie gossip a happy and comfortable return in the arms of his dear dad. James R."
King James, before the Privy Council (1617): "I, James, am neither a god nor an angel, but a man like any other. Therefore I act like a man and confess to loving those dear to me more than other men. You may be sure that I love the Earl of Buckingham more than anyone else, and more than you who are here assembled. I wish to speak in my own behalf and not to have it thought to be a defect, for Jesus Christ did the same, and therefore I cannot be blamed. Christ had his John, and I have my George."
In 1623 K.J. called G. Villiers (E. of Buckingham) his "wife" & their relationship a "marriage": "... that we may make at this Christmas a new marriage ever to be kept hereafter; for, God so love me, as I desire only to live in this world for your sake, and that I had rather live banished in any part of the earth with you than live a sorrowful widow's life without you. And so God bless you, my sweet child and wife, and grant that ye may ever be a comfort to your dear dad and husband. James R."
While King James referred to the Earl (later Duke) of Buckingham as his "wife," the Earl/Duke referred to the King as his "husband". The letters, the King, the Earl/Duke speak for themselves, no "historical revisionism" -----read: correction (by unbiased historians unafraid of the truth) of the distortions and erasures of homosexuality from the historical record (by homophobic historians too frightened to admit the commissioner of a Holy Bible could be a homosexual)------ necessary.
The maker of the above video is obviously going by the homophobic premise that "It cannot be what may not be." No historian worth his salt should ever start from such a biased premise. Has the author of the video never heard of the scientific method, seeking truth for truth's sake, being open to whatever facts come one's way (no matter how discomforting or how much they might violate one's religious "beliefs")?
@Hutchartwork I am a decendant of James and the family history records what you are saying. Peter Young his teacher and mentor rebuked him strongly for these tendancies. But I guess to no avail.
We must never look to men only Jesus Christ. King James was Anglican, basically Catholic; and this is why the King James was originally printed with the apocrypha.
It was not removed until the 1770s. King James was part of Westminster Abbey that displays Mary idols that are part of the ancient building. You can verify this with a search via W. Abbey tourist info. I have been there an have seen an ancient Mary idol on display.
Part 2 Also you will not find the word “cross” in the original language, only tree or stake; because as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness so was Christ on a stake. “Cross” comes from the Anglican/Catholic faiths. A symbol is always easy to worship.
I would recommend researching the original Greek and Hebrew languages through Strong’s Concordance online. You can type in a word or chapter to research the words of Scripture.
The KJV is a good version, yet authorized by an Anglican who coveted the apocrypha. Please do not worship a version of the Bible. Be a student of the inerrant Word of God rightly translated.
In response to some comments, being gay does not make someone abnormal. Pick your knuckles up off the ground. As for whether King James was or wasn't gay, does it really matter? I mean maybe it was a bummer for his wife, but other than her who really cares?
It seems the revisionist slander of James I goes back earlier than 25 years. I have a book, The Stuarts by J P Kenyon published 1958 which strongly suggests that James was both a doddering idiot and a homosexual. do you know it?
as for me I hold that the term homosexual was regularty used by the english against kings they disliked, but that the only time it was valid was against Richard I.
but another thing: why is this relevant to thevalidity of the KJV bible. It is totally irrelevant
What's next? You're gonna show a picture of King James having gay sex and say "Oh- this isn't gay sex. This is perfectly normal". ??? Weren't you the guy on Michael Jackson's defense team- saying it was perfectly normal for a grown man to be in bed with little boys too? I am not KJV Only- but weather King James was gay or not- has no meaning to the validity of the scriptures. God used a donkey- remember?
I keep following links to videos on here as to why King James WASN'T a homosexual- and the one thing I know for certain now is... King James WAS a homosexual! Isn't there anyone smart in your church that can make logical arguments? Because evidently- it's not you. "He passionately loved his wife"???? You have to be kidding me. Where are you from? Alabama? You need to remove these videos because they are making a mockery out of Jesus Christ!
Why does it matter to you whether or not this man was gay? Supposed he was? Would that not make him still the same 'incredible scholar' etc? Why is the revelation that he may have been Homosexual a character 'assassination'? How would homosexuality cast doubt or incredibility on his rule? People are gay and have been for thousands of years. You are going to frustrate and tire yourself trying to convince everyone that this isn't true. People are and always will be gay, just get over it.
The point is if he was gay that would make people look at the Bible different because the Bible condemns that. Then again all he commissioned Sir Francis Bacon to do is translate the word of God. Unfortuntely, the 1611 version is the oldest and closest your gonna get. Both were Freemasons and the KJV is a masonic blueprint for Freemasons.
@TremellluvWhit The Translators Revived by Alexander McClure, The men behind the King James version by Gustavus Swift Paine
Bacon may have written shakespear, there is certainly evidence for this but the King James Bible? No way in God's creation did he have anything whatsoever to do with this and ANY source which claims otherwise is not to be trusted.
This is undisputed fact, James was queer as a 3 dollar bill. His lovers are well known, period letters document his public behavior and Parliaments concerns, references to him being led into sodomy, his own literary confession, his awarding the largest property giveaways and titles in the history of the monarchy to his male lovers, and finally recent excavations at Althorpe house have revealed the secret passageway from the king's bedroom to that of his male lover whom he awarded the house to
@whisperingpaddle No, it's a disputed falacy made up by the enemies of King James and only picked up in recent times to discredit the Bible which he only authorized (not translated)
King James Unjustly Accused Stephen A. Coston Sr. for some documentation on this. King James wrote AGAINST homosexuality and fathered 8 children, he is buried to another one of his ADOPTED sons WRONGLY accused of being his lover. What a joke on those who believe these lies.
This video is quite silly....I don't think you really grasp the art of putting forth an argument.....And what would his homosexuality have to do with questioning the KJV's authenticity anyway.....??
-off him. No body is trying to cast dispertions of the bible, I think there are alot of easier ways to do so than to indirectly attempt to influence the way people view James I. Infact, as you may know because of Revisionist historians we now recognise James' rule was in fact successful. Whigs believed Weldon's accounts of him as he was a contemporary whig historian, however he only painted negative pictures of James as he had been exiled. James was not 'gay', labels were not needed for a King.
People have never said he was homosexual, they have said he took part in homosexual acts. There are numerous contemporary sources to confirm he did favour the male companionship, even though yes, he did love his wife. He brought his favourite Robert Carr, from Scotland with him with whom he had been seen being intimiate and when he fell from Grace George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham took his place. Buckingham was at James's side in his older years. Sources tell us he could barely keep his hands-
The Counter-Reformation is alive and well today. When the saints "judge the world" and the history of the church they will discover Daniel 2 & 7 were correct and precise when it was prophesied that Rome would have the lions share of world authority through her covert operatives: the Jesuit Order. Today, the "scholars" call the great reformers, Wycliffe, Huss, Luther, Tyndale, Wesley and Knox liars for proclaiming the pope as the great Antichrist of Bible prophecy. "Vicarius felii Dei" = 666.
I think this claim that King James was a flamming homo is nothing more then a satanic attempt to cause ppl to reject the Bible and thus they won't read it. I say pray and ask GOD to send you the gift of the Holy Spirit who will lead you into all truth. Satan is clever and we must be careful how we feed into things. Personally have tried things written in the Bible for myself and GOD delivered so you can't make me think that GOD is not real and he didn't use KJ to produce this work.
It is labeled the King James Version because they needed a decree from the king to permit the translation of it - similar to scientific findings of undiscovered species which when named, the discoverer has the right to give the species his own name. Furthermore, if King James was a homosexual it would truly take a miracle from God to touch this man and convince him to translate a book that states that homosexuality is a sin and that it is abominable.
Perhaps, being a king, Jamesy knew nothing could ever happen to him, and thats all that mattered to him, not the well being (physical or mental) of his fellow flamers. Heterosexuality, afterall, is more proftable then homosexuality, why not let all his subjects believe whats written in the book ehilst enjoying the forbidden fruit behind gilded dorrs...
king james was a dirty satan worshipping faggot...this white scum maggot ruined the bible...he turned it into a bible for gays...he is also apart of the masonic order...the masons have a been linked to homosexuality because if u know about masonry they think they are higher than GOD therefore making them satanist...satan is trying to dehumanise mankind...research masonry u faggot...burn in hell like king faggot james is LOL!!
@abothug666 I totally agree with your verdict on this despicable man, who tried to ethnically cleanse the Gaelic speaking people in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. But for the stubborn resistance of the MacLeods of Lewis, who waged guerilla warfare against the 'Fife Adventurers' for years, he would have annihilated the inhabitants of the Western Isles of Scotland. Having failed to 'civilise' them, he turned his attentions on Ulster, sowing an awful legacy that endured for centuries.
A royal giving his interpretation of something that is holy? ask yourselves that question, would you believe any royal? Then and now?

@fabio2358
Ever think of that? Hardly miraculous.

You know the Devil and his demons try to destroy anything from God.
I read my King James Bible. I know lies and half truths are promoted in this world.

@abothug666 being gay isnt a choice there is scientific evidence that says that being gay is caused hormones and has nothing to do with the devil
