to all you NE fans he stepped up when needed in 01 and turned the franchise around in the 90's so dont fukin forget that....he's very important to Patriots history
I loved Bledsoe and was immediately a fan when he came to New England. The way I put it to those who don't know the history is, "Parcells and Bledsoe brought the Pats from doormats to winners; Belichick and Brady brought the Pats from winners to champions." Drew Bledsoe was the beginning of a great era.
(me when drew left pats) "WAAAAA! WAAAAAA! MOMMYYYYY! WAAAAAAAA! BRADY'S BEING A MEANY! WAAAAAA!" (years later when bledsoe is old and retires) "WOOO! BRADY! BRADY!"
@piegirl89 I'm not even a pats fan you moron. I'm a 49ers fan. Brady is one of the greatest to ever play. Just like the QB controversy video, you are one of those stupid fans that comes out of the woods and thinks Drew was better.
@piegirl89 "your and idiot" No U. Oh, and it's "an idiot." You don't even need to type that third letter. Drew was once a great QB, but never as good as Brady. Also, Drew was past his prime. You just have to look at one stat. TD/INT ratio. Go to NFL.com and look them up. Brady averages around 23-28 TDs and 12-14 INTs each year not counting the 50/8 super year. Bledsoe? He only has a positive ratio 7 times in 14 years!!! 13 if you don't count the year Brady came in. That's SHIT. Idiot.
@piegirl89 "your and idiot" No U. Oh, and it's "an idiot." You don't even need to type that third letter. Drew was once a great QB, but never as good as Brady. Also, Drew was past his prime. Drew Bledsoe was a tough and gritty field general.
And he was a Parcells disciple, with Bill making Drew the #1 pick in the '93 draft. With the exception of Tony Romo, Parcells' quarterbacks usually weren't celebrity QB's. I loved Parcells' 11 QB Commandments segment on ESPN some years back.
Being a Giant fan all my life, its embedded in our minds to dislike those types of QB's in favor of the lunch pail, blue collar signal callers. I'll take a Drew Bledsoe over a Tom Brady anyday.
You guys wanna know how he got so motivated. It's becuase of how he was raised. His dad Mac Bledsoe wrote a book called Parenting with Dignity. Everybody needs to read it. They interview him " The Family Fix" on youtube
Well, say what you wanna say about Bledsoe, but i think even as growing up as a young patriots fan, i thought Bledsoe was the best quarterback ever. But since people have been critisizing him about being a jerk, or a prima donna, you gotta give Bledsoe respect, how else do you think bledsoe led the pats to their 2nd super bowl in 97? you tell me, because scott zolak sucked.
jim plunket had no o line no defence and no recivers it was a good thing raiders grabed him befor he got hurt bad steve grogan was good but the team wasnt much better ramon berry days patriots were like lions to day cept team geled better and ralleyd together to pull some wins out tony eason was a nerve bag when you would see his feet move all over the place you knew he was getting sacked or it was gona be an interception
bledsoe was a qb durring an error of change the coach changed many times durring bledsoe as did owners and team mates, every thing was trile by error, as for talent he was nowhere near jim plunket steve grogan or tom brady
man i remember those games against the dolphins and the bills....i rememeber turning off the tv cuz i couldnt watch it so when i turn it back on all i heard were the fans sreaming meaning they won lol good times drew good times...now Broncos ur next
Brady is SMART makes qick decisions and has a fast release. He's not the best athlete but what he can do along with his BRAIN and SMARTS makes him THE BEST N.E. QB in their history. To think otherwise, well, is just being one sides and blinded by one's affection for the other person. I loved Drew, but at the end of the day Brady finished the job. He got it done.
At the end of the day I have to say thank to both DREW BLEDSOE & TOM BRADY as a N.E. fan who has been a fan for 30+ years
With all due respect I have been a Patriots fan since the days of Mosi Tatupu, and Steve Grogan. I am and will always be a huge Drew fan. I still have a poster up in my garage of him. It broke my heart to see him fall from the starting spot. But the truth is, Bledsoe had huge potential that he may have never really gotten all of. He held on to the ball too long, and was not as sharp with the decision making process. He is a quality person, a super professional and class act.
I will always carry a cross for Drew Bledsoe and how he brought N.E. from 1-15 jokes to playoff contenders. But there is no guarantee he would have won the superbowl in 2001. Too many times I saw him get our team 98% of the way before THE SACK, or THE FORCED INT. That was just Drew rocketarm Bledsoe. Tom Brady is not to be hated. he is a fantastic QB, and one thing he has that Drew did not use to the best of his ability was HIS BRAIN.
I don't think so itgl72. I think you should check the history of the Pats and see that they became a totally different franchise since Bledsoe took over and changed their fucked up culture of losing. Brady was handed a superbowl ready team (lucky ass hick) I fuckin hate that fuck tard...
Even though I love the Pats and Brady, I love Bledsoe more as a person cuz he took pay cuts to bring in better talent and also doesn't do any of this modeling shit that Brady does
Drew and Mac you guys inspired me to pursue coaching wrestling and making a better father out of myself. For all of your efforts and work thanks you were my favorite QB and will always remain so. Yes, I'm the same guy whose humilated some of the Yahoo sports writers into back pedeling. And, yes when they admit the need for offensive line they really sound loss. Enough on that Drew best QB of the Bills!
@stacktrick Key word girls cause Brady is a girly man "OMG he cam close to my Knees!!!" like rodnney harrison said tom needs to take off his skirt and put on some slacks. Bledsoe was a man and never bitched about a hit
Its a shame that Bledsoe's stats don't show how good he really was. He was a great QB and us old school Pats' fans remember him well. He was on a lousy Pats team for most of his playing career and would do much better on a team with some decent players. He's no Brady, but is a solid QB.
I have the highlight film from the '94 season where Bledsoe set the single season pass attempts record. He was amazing. They lost to Belicheck's Browns in the playoffs.
It's such a shame there are so many morons out there that can villainize such a class guy as Drew Bledsoe.. Brady turned out to be a better QB no question, but Drew is the reason why the Patriots began their turnaround from Doormat to Dynasty... As a 27 year season ticket holder I can only say thanks Drew... You have nothing to be ashamed of...

Bledsoe is a true warrior and leader. Any other person who had been in his shoes after Brady took his job would have bitched their way to the media and complained. Bledsoe handled it with class and dignity. He was a true sport about and now with the Cowboys he will resume his status as one of the best in the league.
