  • I love Moosel!

  • Wow I just went back 30 yrs of my life thank u

  • A reminder of how old I actually am...I remember this theme song about these bi-poler animals word from word.

  • I remember watching thus as a kid. My sister and I loved it.

  • Time to roll a dube and eat spicy chili nachos as I watch this shit!

  • Time to roll a dube and eat spicy chili nachos as I watch this whole dvd!!! Life is good!

  • this show looks sooooooooooooooooo cute; its too bad that i missed it durring my childhood.

  • Disney, bring this back! That's an order!

  • Necroscope86's Facebook sent me here

  • I'm not gonna lie...I definitely have a bumblelion stuffed animal from when I was a kid.

  • The real Splice Movie, but a series.

  • This opening song is fucking brilliant. Its like...

PR Guy: Okay guys...we have our toys ready to ship and our show has its first episode ready to air...so what do we make the theme song?

Yes Man: We...make some shit up?

PR Guy: Good idea! Get to it!

Yes Man: Wait I have to write the song?

P$ Guy: Yes! Just sing about whatever, they are kids, they are too stupid to listen to the lyrics.

  • Still downright catchy, though.

  • Posted Jan 3 2005

  • this is 1983

  • Wuzzles is one of the catchiest theme songs ever made. It's up there with Heathcliff and DuckTales I think.

  • Yes The Disney Channel in the 80s ruled!!!

  • what the fuck is wuzzles?

  • Whoa, just got major flashbacks from this.

  • ....what.

  • If they can revamp My Little Pony and turn it into something awesome, then they can sure as hell take these and revamp them into something awesome.

  • This show was like crack to me! If it was on I was watching it! Butterbear was my favorite!

  • You have made my day...complete *tear.* I have to say the 80s did have some of the best cartoons, ever.

  • i used to watchthis when i was a kid *cries* it brings back so many memories

  • Cool!

  • WTH? is that a heffalump?

  • I loved this show! It was like crack to a five year old! I found a Butterbear at a garage sale and demanded my mother buy it!

  • i had the bumblelion doll, aww

  • I remembered The Wuzzles, DuckTales, TaleSpin, Kidd Video, Lady Lovelylocks, Captain N the Game Master, Clarissa Explains it All, Girl Talk Date Line, Classic Nintendo, Super Nintendo, PlayStation, Heathcliff, Pokemon, VHS Tapes, Laserdiscs, Jem, David the Gnome and Super Mario World.

  • Can you believe I STILL have the Monkey plush? :3 I don't remember their names, but the show will always have a special place in my heart. Not many people remember the Wuzzles.

  • @Sylongra Rhinokey was the monkeys name, Eleroo was the elephant/kangaroo, Hoppo was the hippo/rabbit, butterbear was the butterfly/bear bumblebee lion and moosel was the moose/seal :)

  • @littlepuddleoftears Thanks for the names! Brings back memories. :)

  • @TheAnonymousAspie I suppose you are right...but then why did these shows kick ass and current shows very seldom do? It may be nostaligia talking and I think you are right in that the late eighties going into the nineties were loads better than the early to mid eighties but I honestly can't think of any decent show for kids beyond a handful in the last ten years. Octonauts seems to be good for young kids, Krypto the super dog is ok and of course there is Regular show but what else?

  • The Formula of the 90s: Popular Toy=TV Show

  • Here in the land that Wuz they're having twice the fun

'Cuz every single thing is splinted two in one

A little bit of this, a little bit of that

And when you add it up you get a lot of laughs

*Hoo, they got originality, livin' with a split personality

    WE'RE THE WUZZLES! (Hoo, yeah!)

WE'RE THE WUZZLES! (Ho ho, yeah!)

Two times of fun wrapped up & rolled into one!!

    **Repeat from line 5

  • this looks like spliced!

  • @TheAnonymousAspie Everything is now all CGI cartoons, there is nothing hand drawn anymore... there is a MAJOR difference between a true cartoonist of the early days with out computers and one that can do all the drawing on a PC. I like the classic ways things were done.

  • I'll tell you what's wrong with TV today, They just don't appreciate the value of the classics. If they ever brought this kind of stuff back, they would get /very/ high ratings, Let us show the current generation what we grew up with.

  • This was one of my favorite TV shows as a child. Back in those days, most cartoons had a "moral" lesson for children to help them learn social skills and other life lessons. There seemed to be a purpose. Today, I notice that a lot of cartoons have no purpose other than silly entertainment. I miss the days of great cartoons.

  • I LOVED this show as a kid, and never realised how cool the theme tune was! I can still name all the main characters - (deep breath) Eleroo, Bumblelion, Hoppopotamus, Moosel, Butterbear and Rhinokey!

  • This is exactly what the movie "Spliced" should have been.

  • i have a plush hippo thing some where but i can't find it -_-

  • awww gosh i miss cartoons like these. I still have the books from when i was a kid :(

  • Wow, I forgot how cracked up some of these shows used to be. This was just an insane cartoon.

  • amen doodles....and btw yall...i always thought someone had to be high when creating this show.....i'm searching for a jem clip...found this looked familar...didnt recall the show..but more i watched more i remember my thought linked to this show....o its a good show for the younger ones....dont get me wrong...just wasnt on my list of childhood favs

  • adventures in genetic modification! i loved them badly!!!

  • i couldn't remeber the name of this show, i know i used to have a pink wuzzle elephant toy as a kid

  • All of them have wings!

  • ay carajo, cuando había borrado por completo de mi mente esta caricatura

  • haha I wouldn't say it's garbage, its just that when this was out I was young enough to like it, and now the shows made for 5 year olds , I'm too old for now. God, this was on really early before all the other cartoons, I remember. And, I'd say just about all cartoon theme songs back then were horrible. Let's be honest, the early 90s were just the end of the 80s.

  • Living with split personalities actaul childrens cartoon lyrics? Only in the 80's XD

  • this looks like a very enduring and cute cartoon i want to be a little kid again.

  • I Believe This Was A Video Clip Of "Disney's The Wuzzles" Video Open From 1985.

  • I still have my stuffed Bumblelion!!!

  • MOTHER FUCKING WUZZLES

  • Bumblelion was myfav! These were the good ol'days!

  • back when cartoons were good

  • This was a good cartoon, but the theme song was bad.

  • the wuzzles rock

  • i can no longer think of the wuzzles without that robot chicken sketch coming to mind0.0

  • @kageroninja i know me too thats why i came here lol

  • Lol when I was like 6 my tee-ball team was called the Wuzzles!

  • Dang! I totally forgot about this show. Ahhh.... memories:)

  • My grandfather got my brother and I the elephant thing. Now I know where the hell it came from.

  • @harrynginny4eva you do know the elephant's name is eleroo

  • @DarkAngelbaby1985 I've have that ting for at least 18 years, and I'm 20. I have no idea what the thing is.

  • All New "The Wuzzles"

    TV Serices..

    Coming Soon...

  • holy fuck shit, i haven't thought of these things since i was like 5.

  • @antipryzm Me too

  • I can't believe I forgot this show! I loved Butterbear!

  • I had COMPLETELY forgot about this show! I used to have a stuffed animal Wuzzle but I can't remember which one.

  • OH SNAP can't believe I forgot this. damn I miss our oldie cartoons.

  • Oh my god, nostalgia bomb.

  • 80s cartoons ROCK!

  • I still remember back when I was 4 or 5 years old I had the chicken pox and my mom got me a stuffed rinokey

  • I rember this my faveriote was Ellaroo

This was a time when cartoons weren't rubbish

  • I had totally forgotten this until I saw this video!

  • Wow, they were really running out of ideas when they came up with this one.

  • @DustyTowne

This was actually the first Disney animated TV show. It was so successful, they went on to do Gummi Bears, which was followed by Duck Tales.

  • I miss 80's cartoons

i had the elephant wuzzle when I was a kid

  • @babyphatdiva81 hah so did i..

  • ...and Dr. Moreau can rest happily.

  • I remember this show I watched it as much as could as a kid growing up

  • The second you hear that synthesizer, you get a warm and fuzzy feeling.

  • 80's was and STILL is the shit!!!

  • has a little kid i used to have the lion in wuzzles lol

  • now this is the second island of Dr Moreau

  • 0:00 to 1:03 BEST PART!!!

  • I know!!!! I miss the old cartoons. They need to bring it back for this generation :(

  • Brings back memories, I hadn't seen this in almost 25 years.

  • had me a bumble lion

  • I hated wuzzles....lol, great upload :)

  • I wanted the Butterbear plush toy but Toys R Us was always sold out. I settled for the hippo-bunny.

  • 80's cartoons rule plain and simple: Kids today are getting robbed! Saturday mornings sure aren't what they use to be.

  • @IkilledColMustard Do the networks still air Saturday morning cartoons? They were on the alphabet networks from 7AM until noon when I was a kid.

  • @scottvska Yeah, but the cartoons today aren't that great.

  • why aren't there Wuzzles walking around Disney's theme parks?

  • @clinch44

There were some, apparently, but they went and sold the costumes by mistake! Twerps.

  • I never seen this cartoon but I have one Wuzzle figure and had the books as a kid

  • what the FUCK is this diabolic crap?!

  • @fleischpudding it`s your mother!

  • why does the kanga-elephant have wings? :/

  • this shit is old

  • this has skip my memory

  • *sighs* when TV was cute and creative....

  • badass too!

  • A trip down memory lane here! Love the 80's!

  • ...So it's a show about mutated abominations of nature with Bi polar schizophrenia and split personality disorder?

    Got it.....cool

  • @HadesObsidian Mostly, but they had adventures too LOL!!!

  • "living with a split personality!!"

they had a much kinder perception of split personalities back then, didn't they ;)

  • @vegansong821 LOL. No doubt

  • I haven't seen this since the 80's... oh WOW! This was a Saturday Morning STAPLE. Now I must locate "Pound Puppies", "Muppet Babies", oooh! And You Tube has already found "The Littles"!!! Oh Crap, this will be another sleepless night in Seattle...

  • WHY HAVE I NEVER SEEN THIS??!?! My golly-gee-whiz, this looks AMAZING. I watched Carebears, Popples, My Little Ponies, Rainbow Brite and Strawberry Shortcake... WHY HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS?!?!? GAAHHHHHH

  • 17 people had a crappy childhood.

  • Oh, my... I still have an Eleroo (is this the name of the elephant/kangaroo in English?) stuffed doll ! And I'm 29 now, so it's been around for some time!

  • Holy crap I had a picture book of this as a child!

  • Oh my gosh, I totally forgot about this! My sister had a stuffed animal of the bee/lion thing!

  • @twink0073 I always remembered the Wuzzles and thought I was the only one till I mentioned it several years ago and my brother started doing the voices hahaha

  • @twink0073

    Bumble-Lion?

  • I've watched loads of these 80s cartoon intros, going down memory lane, and what strikes me is there's so much more put into them... right from the idea for the cartoons to the theme tunes which are almost songs you could've heard in the charts! No effort nowadays, I'm so glad I was a child in the 80s! :)

  • che emozione mi esce quasi la lacrima

  • They dont make cartoons like this anymore, everything now is all garbage.

  • @Tronix102 Everything is either flash animation, or badly done CGI now. Its so depressing. But hey, at least we all saw the last breath of life for good animation.

  • @Tronix102 I agree.

  • Comment removed

  • i used to have eliroo. I love the wuzzles and i think our kids would like to watch them too gosh i miss the 80's

  • the wuzzles were bisexual

  • I used to have a Bumblelion stuffed animal. :)

  • YES!!!!

  • So basically, there was a LOT of interspecies sex going on on that island.

  • I LOVE The Wuzzles theme song and the cartoon too.

    Ahhhh~~~~the good old days.

  • P.S. My Dad freaked out when I watched this and My Little Pony & Rainbow Brite. He said "it's gotta turn my 2 boys gay" but my Mom said it was homophobic (the term didn't exist in the 80s) though he was full of B.S. I watched GI Joe & other boy-macho-man war toons, at least it carried a moral lesson in each ending of a 30-minute episode.

GI Joe: "Be a true blue American, but not a bigot...cuz they look different."

    Boy: "Now I know..."

GI Joe: "And Knowing is half the Battle".

    GI JOE! +

  • More like GM Lab freaks in Dr. Moreau's island of weird animalia! it came from a children's book I had read in school (yea, kids still read in the 80s). My fave one was Butterbear, voiced by Katie Leigh...and the Hippo was voiced by an actress out of Laugh-In in the 60s (forgot her name ATM). So what, a 6-year old boy had a fave female character? I watched Jem, Beverly Hill girls & Bobby's world with Bobby's Mom with a Sarah Palin accent, and did I turned out gay? NO...but not a sexist jerk. +

  • Hoppopotamus was my favorite :D

  • These are good cartoons, these new ones are soooo dumb. i think these cartoon networks (ESPECIALLY Cartoon Network & Nickelodeon) need to watch a movie called Idiocracy because thats were they are leading the new generations!!!

  • OMGOSSHHH i so loved this, i remember the episode were Rhinokey wouldnt stop playing jokes! i swear what has happened to the good cartoons. I swear Cartoon network i think puts the most imature ppl in a room and say "think of the dumbest show ever and we will air it!" like Adventure Time, Regular Show, and now a MAD tv kid show version!!1 what the heck!

  • ITS SCARY HOW MUCH OF THIS I REMEMBERED WHILST WATCHIN. TOTALLY FOEGOT BOUT THIS SHOW LOL!

  • Anyone who thinks this is "gay" likes Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers!

  • Anyone who thinks this is "gay" liked Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers!

  • 80S CARTOONS ARE THE BEST EVER MADE!

  • @J8neSez, damn straight. No other decades can be that decade I grew up with.

Love the 90 toons as well.

  • I have still the keyholder of Wuzzles got several years ago ^^

  • I remember cartoons like this especially on Fox, For Kids, Nickolodean, Jetix, WB, UPN, PBS, PBS Kids, Disney Channel now kids shows and cartoons on the most part except for South Park, Family Guy, Robot Chicken, Boondocks, Squidbillies, Lucy Daughter of the Devil, The Simpsons, Cleveland Show and American Dad since they are all on Fox or Adult swim they fit into one of the two catagories A. wantabee cartoons from the 80's and 90's or B. crap and stupid shows that have little to no creativaty

  • I hate to say it but I must. Disney cartoons always had great intros!

  • i had a book with them, loved it :D

  • I had elaroo, the elephant kangaroo monstrosity, and I loved that fucking doll until my cat took a shit on him!

  • Is this on DVD ?

  • I had a Hoppo plushie for the longest time... I love this show and wish they'd bring back the old stuff.

  • My sister had a stuffed butterbear & I had rhonockeyo.

  • Back to 1985-1986. I watch this one.

  • Disney had a lot of quality years ago... now it's capitalistic, valueless, soulless junk

  • Back when Disney weren't all attention whores. This was great show.

  • schizo cartoon animals, marvelous.

  • @travelinband-i still have bumblelion and tycoon.lol. cant throw any of my soft toys away, ha ha and im 50.lol.

  • Even a show about lovable chimeras makes more sense than the crap that's on TV today

  • Wait....Disney????

  • I actually had plush doll of bumblelion when I was a kid. The 80s cartoons were and always will be the best.

  • I had a bedset with the Wuzzles on it, the pillowcase was their little treehouse and I cant find it anywhere online

  • i love retro junk

  • LOL i remember that how come they new show old cartoons like this no more?

  • They didn't even try to hide the gayness in this one.

  • I guess not many people know this but Wuzzles and Gummi bears were made at the same time, Disney had high hopes for Wuzzles and very little faith in Gummi bears but as we know Gummi bears took off where as Wuzzles didn't and was canned after one season (cartoon season) and thats why most people don't remember seeing too many episodes, because there aren't all that many, only 13 I believe.

  • Man i feel old lol

  • Lol I still have Bubble Lion

  • I know I have seen this show I'm trying to recall if Disney made it are not.

  • @serina115 yes disney did make this one. I have one episode taped from TV years ago, and it was from the disney channel. I dont rememeber very many wuzzles episodes. I still have my wuzzles pillow though.

  • The mother-two times the fun-fuckin' Wuzzles! A cartoon from when cartoons were still cool.

  • DAMN now that takes me WAAAAAAYYY back. I had a wuzzle when i was young, and popples, yep remember them too. My popple turned into a soccer ball.

  • class!

  • I KNEW they were from Disney!

It's the art and the music!

I didn't even SEE the logo until the end!

  • "Livin with a split personality." What do I have to add to that?

  • Such an underrated Disney classic.. though trying to figure out those instruments they play in the intro makes my brain hurt.

  • Fistofreak, i think thats prob true, all cartoon makers of the 80s were of the 60s generation 30-50 YO';s who would have defintely experimented with hallucionagenic substances at uni!

  • RIP awesome cartoons of the 80's

  • Cleaning out my old room at my parents' house, I recently found a Wuzzle puzzle. Still missing a piece though *sigh*

  • Before Duck Tales, good stuff.

  • my third grade teacher had a wuzzles book and when ever we came across it we would scream "EW!" and chuck it across the room lol
