Which one is your favorite? I fell in love with the .38 special the other day and will probably carry one when I'm old enough (next Jan) but I also want to find a good semi-auto. I tried a Beretta 40 cal. It may have just been the fact that it was my first time with a semi-auto, but I found it hard to control.
A good caliber for carry with the semi-auto is probably going to be a 9mm since you found the 40 hard to control. If you do get a .38 for carry I would suggest getting a hammerless model.
