we had an electrolux upright when i was little and it was a very good vacuum, untill it died in 1998, then we got a dirt devil upright which i hated, it was too loud, then that died in 2001 and then we got a eureka cyclonic which i also hated, was and still is too loud as well, its still sitting in the back room, my 1970 kirby classic 1-cr has since replaced the eureka, i have yet to get an electrolux upright and canister vacuum
