Takes a while for them to get used to you, but they do! I've done this a few times and eventually they will sit quietly and feed. It looks like your finger might be a little too far from the feeder to make a comfortable perch. The bird was really stretching to reach the feeder. Try moving about 1" to the right. Once the bird can hover easily to feed, move your finger to the left very slowly until you make contact and the bird should grab on and sit. :-)

Yes I could feel his claws. My finger was shaking so much. It has been a long one trying to get him to do this. Hope you have been ok.
