i have this very same problem when ever i play oblivion or dragon age it just starts lagging in like 5 minutes than it will go away and then come back and lag some more a few minutes later.
heya guys! i think i've managed to fix it!!:) After a crash down (everyone are familiar with the blue screen!:)) after restarting; windows vista searched the net for a solution and it gave back a site to download the latest drivers for "Intel Turbo Memory driver".. So i've followed that advice and updated the drivers.. then i've tried to play Prototype and some other games i've bought lately.. and know what? NO MORE CRASH DOWNS!! Everything works perfectly now! Hope this will help you guys too!
Hey everyone.. i would like to thank you all for your comments.. I didn't find a solution yet so i'm moving on.. i'm going to throw my laptop off the window at the end and buy a new one!..:) I'm going for the Aspire 5739G and lets hope for the best.. (Graphics card is Nvidia Geforce GT 130M 1GB up to 2815 MB).
If you got any other suggestions will be welcomed!!
I can run most new games on mine and i have the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 with 1.536GB of dedicated video memory in my laptop.
It seems to run everything i through at it fine.
The only problem is sometimes when playing the graphics card driver stops working and the game has a fatal error, then vista says 'the graphics driver stopped working and was recovered successfully'. Is this bad? please reply :)
Well i'm guessing that you just need to update your drivers to the latest... Just a thought thow.. or else just join me throwing our laptops out of the window!!!:)
thanks man but i have already tried that, ATI dont do the drivers anymore :(
And just a suggestion maybe a new CPU or graphics card or if you have been playing high proformance games on the laptop before your graphics card might need a new heat sync (bit of heat expelling glue between the GPU and the rest of the computer :P)
I loved your video. I came across a site that will help your channel/video become more popular. It has really helped me out a great deal. The name is w w w . sl8t . com
It is mostly a fault of your video card being under powered. The ratings for the game describes the 7800GTX card as minimal. And if you look at the specifications of that card vs your 8600M GS card you'll notice that besides clock speeds, the fill rates or ability to process a certain amount of graphical information is actually LESS than the minimal recommendation.
Plus your CPU is a little underpowered as well. Playing current games on laptops should only be done with the HIGHEST end models.
Thenx for your quick answer, comment... from your readings i'm guessing that i have to throw my acer out of the window as mentioned before on description and buy a new one more powerful..:)
Every time i start playing the (a) game all goes fine for about 10-20 minutes until this scratching sound appears.. do you thing it's graphics card problem or my sound card gets crazy and destroys everything? This goes with all games..
i got the same problem on my acer aspire 5750zg but only with gta 4..
