i agree, Pastrana doesn't even hold a candle to real WRC drivers, aka McRae (yeah i know he beat him once, but only by a few seconds and McRae rolled his car!!) or Makinen, and he is no WRC champion haha. but i guess it still takes some skill set to win the X games...

I`d say they use custom made ones, for each car and even different ones depending on the track and other conditions. Don`t think u could get one... (I`m talking about propper WRC rally cars).

Rally drivers are considered by many to be the best out there, unlike in Nascar your on mulstiple terrains, possibly stormy weather, and the driver dosnt get to go over the course before the race, hence the nead for a co driver. Although, ofcourse, it dosnt matter for Nascar because all they do is drive around in circles

I find it hard that peopel look at these as not 'star' drivers- this is F1 in 4wd. These drivers need to learn bwtween different driving surfances and turnes; while out other popular US sport (NASCAR) involves turning left. left. straight. left left.

Hardly star material? The americanized version of rally racing is set up to give entertainment to the american public- real rally racing has gone on for decades and is truly a sport for real drivers. NASCAR is a sport of LEFT! LEFT! GO STRAIGHT! LEFT LEFT! GO STRAIGHT! X200. Rally is a sport of discipline and talent, NASCAR is a sport of learning the rules. simple as.
