My rapist has been in jail since July 9th and the whole legal process is starting to take place. I'm just now starting to realize what happened. I agree when you say there is no moving on. What i don't get is the fact of how cold people are when people have had a traumatizing crime done upon them. Someone who used to be very close to me was raped by her father quite often, I heard about this after the fact and by this time her father was long gone. However the effects only became apparent as I grew older. I was 15 when I met her and she was 19... She became my first and only love thus far. I realize now that my age helped her feel secure. She lives a wonderful life now with a beautiful daughter. Her father was sent to prison due to this last year. You have her strength.

Hey i know how you feel I was raped when I was 12 on June 23rd in 2005. I didn't tell anyone till a year later and I didn't report it till a year later. I am going to be 17 next month and I still torture myself. in my mind I say its not my fault for what happened but deep down inside I blame myself. Newspaper's link is in the sidebar. I put the donation link up only after 12 people or so had asked me to please do so. They all asked me to use the money however I saw fit. Since we likely won't sue, I donated the money to a local rape prevention and treatment center.
They removed it in less than 24 hours of being bombarded with emails and phone calls from my viewers!!! And then threatened to sue ME! LOL! I think they quickly learned that it doesn't feel so good to be on the other side!!

yah it really sucks with cases like these. Because a lot of rape and molestation victims usually wait to report it (completely understandable) and by the time a report is made the DA will usually throw the case out due to lack of evidence. I think you misunderstood. Civil meaning you only have one year to sue. He was indicted by a grand jury, arrested, and is standing trial on criminal charges of rape.

I have had very specific death threats. One man found me, traveled all the way across the country and stalked me in person... The list goes on and on. I have lots of the threats and dangers that celebrities have, but not the money to protect myself like they can.
Plus the police really don't know how to handle death threats over the internet. It typically falls under the FBI's jurisdiction (since all have been from other states), but the FBI believes they have more 'important' things to do.
That said, I really do live my life safely.... I carry a weapon at all times that I'm highly trained to use (I won't say what specifically). And my husband can definitely protect me. So if anyone ever does attack me they will end up severely injured and in prison, or simply dead. That, I'm confident of.

I believe that it defiantly should be a criminal offence for which the editor and the reporter should be in prison for but on top of that the 'fine' to the media should be far more significant, say 10% of what that media company is worth.

Someone who used to be very close to me was raped by her father quite often, I heard about this after the fact and by this time her father was long gone. However the effects only became apparent as I grew older. I was 15 when I met her and she was 19... She became my first and only love thus far. I realize now that my age helped her feel secure. She lives a wonderful life now with a beautiful daughter. Her father was sent to prison due to this last year. You have her strength.

Also, thank you for being so strong, publically because this video has the potential to reach many others who have been in this position and thought all hope was lost. I am going to be 17 next month and I still torture myself. in my mind I say its not my fault for what happened but deep down inside I blame myself. Newspaper's link is in the sidebar. I put the donation link up only after 12 people or so had asked me to please do so. They all asked me to use the money however I saw fit. Since we likely won't sue, I donated the money to a local rape prevention and treatment center.

yah it really sucks with cases like these. Because a lot of rape and molestation victims usually wait to report it (completely understandable) and by the time a report is made the DA will usually throw the case out due to lack of evidence. Civil is the only chance for some people. And NO OFFENSE, but like jebes909090 says, a defense lawyer will totally use your youtube pages to attempt to attack your character. Good luck though, if i had it my way pedos and rapists would get their d***s cut off.

I know when someone does such a heinous thing there is nothing in the world that can change what's been done. I hope and pray that you will reach peace of mind in the future. Someone very dear to me had horrid things done to her by a family member when she was 5 and she has a very hard time achieving peace of mind. The DA threw the case out due to lack of evidence.

I think you misunderstood. Civil meaning you only have one year to sue. He was indicted by a grand jury, arrested, and is standing trial on criminal charges of rape.
It's our poor legal system and lack of a better idea for one that leads to cases getting thrown out due to lack of evidence when everyone knows exactly what happened.

Kim, may i suggest something. I would say to you, to talk to your lawyer in regards to the contents of your youtube page in regards to your ongoing court case. If i was a defense lawyer, I would use your page as amunition for my defense. Most of your posts are about sex, so to create a history of sexuality about you, would make it much easier to defend my client.

I have had very specific death threats. One man found me, traveled all the way across the country and stalked me in person... The list goes on and on. I have lots of the threats and dangers that celebrities have, but not the money to protect myself like they can.
Plus the police really don't know how to handle death threats over the internet. It typically falls under the FBI's jurisdiction (since all have been from other states), but the FBI believes they have more 'important' things to do.

That said, I really do live my life safely.... I carry a weapon at all times that I'm highly trained to use (I won't say what specifically). And my husband can definitely protect me. I had no idea you existed until about 12 minutes ago but, I hope that you can resolve this issue. I saw one video where you were absolutely gleeful, and this is just depressing. Honestly that bastard deserves the worst, take him down with legal action. And stay strong- Apparently you've helped people in one area, so why not set an example for this one. Good luck.

how do you send money through gmail? i hope the case is won you deserve that and much more for what occured. i wish there was some way to predict when crimes were to be commited and for someone as kind and honest to suffer such a crime is disgusting, again i wish you win and dont even want to know the other side of the story there is no OTHER side rape is rape no matter what circumstance. im glad your still strong even when this happened.

all the press comes down to reporting the rape, why do you think people dont report it, they think. it's happend now it's a one off and it won't happen again i don't want to live my life in fear when everyone around me when i walk down the street knowing 'that was the girl that got raped' it's horrifing to know what happens when you walk around, i feel so sorry for you and good on you for reporting, i hope you have a nice life and stay strong always be happy, it won't scar you for life.
