  • this is excellent! is the kpr77 analog? Its sounds sound like the kind of thing that would benefit from some (tasteful) extra knobs for modded decay/tune/freq/etc

  • Bloody marvellous!! i want acid for breakfast, dinner and tea lol

  • Oh god, I want this setup.

    You're gonna make me poor.

  • So goood. Thanks

  • awesome favorited

  • Boah ey :-) That´s the one and only GEILOMAT !!!! I like that sound soooooooo very very much.

  • sweet sounds there!

quick couple of questions, how did you sync the two machines up?

and what reverb are you using?

    keep it acid!

  • @Jeeroj the x0x has (beside MIDI) DIN Sync IN and OUT, so I've used the x0x as master. the KPR has also Din Sync and can be master or slave. the reverb is a build-in effect in an old Behringer mixer :)

unfortunately the sound was destroyed after uploading :-/

  • @hartig1967 I was told the korg had a different sync rate to the standard roland sync (48ppq vs 24 ppq) which would make it play either twice as fast or half speed depending on which one is the master. Have you encountered this problem?

  • @Jeeroj

no, I've just plugged together and it has worked fine for me :)

  • @Jeeroj it's true that the kpr has 48ppq, but you can program it in 32th mode to compensate

  • @Jeeroj true, but it's not a problem :) unless you try to play patterns that where created in the original resolution :)

  • wow i miss my kpr if i hear this

  • Good sound!

  • Nice job :)

  • very nice

  • I love how considering the limitation of the 303 you can get so many different sounds out of it. I just listened to one really hard distorted acid tune, and now this more gentle sound..

  • sehr cooler Sound!

  • do you always work on the floor?

its funny how things come in circles. i used to laugh at my dad trying to achieve that 'eric clapton tone' on his Strat while i was listening to much more imaginative music which used machines with no ego. Now 20 years later people are perpetually trying to get back to the '303 acid sound' in the same way my dad did. Move on and make something new, man. That's what i told my dad, anyway. Good luck. Peace.

  • @D1rtyraver I can kind of see your point in a sense, but for a lot of real electronic music makes, the "end product" (e.g. a recording) isn't really important. And acid has never really gone away, it's been around since the early 80's. Acid techno isn't one of the more "popular" genres of electronic music these days, but there's still a huge acid following all over the world. Some people just like vintage drum machines and analog bass, man. Acid is very flexible too, not all of it is repetitive.

  • @VincentsVideoVisions electronic music makers* I meant to say...

  • Comment removed

  • @VincentsVideoVisions Yes, you're absolutely right. I was harsh. Apologies. I love acid and must admit to being in awe of purists such as yourself. I have a 303 and it is the one piece of gear that delivers time and time again without breaking a sweat. Some common ground between us after all. You took the comment well. No hard feelings I hope. Respect.

  • Thanks for showing out that Korg Drum machine .

Sounds indeed like a bit of the TR606.

    Your x0x is really cool.

    Keep it acid :)
