Like others commented,it was probably the last thing he heard,and wondering how he did not hear it coming..as i've saw and heard on other vids,mortar rounds can be heard bout 2-3 seconds before impact. Also i think he had luck that the round hit that wall and the shrapnels flew above his head. Peace is better.
