I heard arumour that there break-up in 88 was due to Paul Stanley? Can anyone confirm this. Something to do with Hall being angry with Oates for being Paul Stanley's tour guitarist for Stanley's 1989 tour, and Oates saying to Hall he did not compare to Stanley's passion. Please confirm.

Hall and Oates did break up briefly after a fight - Hall was so pissed at Oates he told him he'd replace him with a donkey and call the new band 'Hall 'n Ass.'
