@Fossillarson true ... I just went on eBay to see the price it stands at 1400 right now . They are asking way to much when you can get 3 thin bezels for less .
I got pissed once I found out that this has an 8ms response time, but then I found out that this wasn't meant for gaming. The thin bezels imply that this was built for multi-screen gaming but multitaskers, workstation users, and software developers want thin bezels too you know. Why couldn't they make it 2ms? Because the price tag is already 1.5 grand, to make it 2 ms would make it an unnecessary higher expense seeing that multi-lcd gaming isn't mainstream enough to be a standard for all gamers.
I don't see the point in this. Almost $2000 for 3 monitors. You can buy 9 Dell 2407WFP for that price and they have amazing colour reproduction. You could probably buy 12 cheaper BenQ monitors for that price as well.
Someone enlighten me as to why Samsung never re-innovated these monitors with a better refresh rate, response-time, and LED technology? These monitors look awesome, but because of the response-time they weren't ideal for gamers who play extreme reaction games like Counter-Strike, etc. So, why not remake these monitors at a reasonable price?
@h4xmode Very good point. The main reason I'm not going to buy them just yet. I've heard some reviewers say it felt as though they were drunk while playing, due to pixel lag.
If I had the money I'd get this, probably in 1:3 pivot mode though.
Curious: Is there a way to have 1 monitor on the game, 1 browsing and 1 word documenting? Or even 2 gaming and 1 word documenting? Not sure how it would work, but would be cool
@LetsPlayJones Yes you can. When you set up eyefinity you use the Control Catalyst Center to make a display group. that group can be 1/2/or 3 monitors per video card. If you would like to use only one for gaming and the other 2 for something else, you simply use the extended display settings and dont configure eyefinity. If you want to use 2 monitors for gaming and 1 for surfing etc, you make a Display group of 2 monitors in CCC, and the other monitor can be left for other things.
If your going to showcase the best multi player fps ever created please have some experience beforehand. -ut fanboy with 11 years of playing experience
@spudnick177 Most people who can afford to buy exotic cars can't really drive for shit, but most of us are so impressed with the car we could care less if he's on the sidewalk or on the road.. it looks cool no matter what.
@Tzenjin wrong. you can use three monitors with Nvidia you just need at least 2 graphics cards. And that really isnt too big of a deal because rendering all of that would take 2 cards to do it smoothly in newer games
@mrjamesb562 I have seen one before although it had the most obscure model name i can't remeber it lol.... even then I wouldn't pay $2600 YES you read that right $2600 for 1 screen that's extra wide. with no border at-all!
very nice but 1800 dollar price tag for 3 monitors with stand is very high!you can get 3 Samsung SyncMaster 2494HM from tigerdirect for 200 a pop3 for a total of 679 with shipping cost.i can buy six at 1358 and still be under that price.the bezels won't be as thin but at that price you cant' beat that.
@Roly702 think youre missing the point. as a TRUE enthusiast and and not some dude ready to toss money left and right you could have made a better sweeter setup. one thats unique with removed bezels and a kickass stand.
calling yourself an enthusiast for spending money on this premade pos is like saying youre master chef /food critic who makes instant mac and cheese.
@alextheromanian Oh ok if its a premade POS then try and find me a lot of other thin bezel monitors out there on the market for use with eyefinity/surround!
True enthusiast? Don't make me laugh, thats like saying you pay $2 for shitty public transport that takes one hours to get to where you wan to go where a car can get you there in ten mins. I know what I'd rather out of the two from the above example, unlike you who'd pick the cheap option.
You also need to consider that multi-monitors also serves a purpose for more then just gaming alone, and that what you even more so fail to realize. I don't think I want a browser window that extends over one big giant screen that is designed for one monitor to begin with (Most web designers still design websites for 1024x768 resolution just to ensure that a wide audience can read the content comfortably, and then there's code to scale pages to fit/suit larger res but this is with one monitor)
@Roly702 Just came across this vid and for you to say "enthusiasts buy the best they can get, none of this value for the money crap" is ridiculous. This Samsung muti-monitor setup is complete junk. Terrible response time (8ms), artifacting, ghosting, limited connectivity, poor color accuracy and the cost. You would be better off buying 3X TN panels of better quality and the Vesa mount......it would be cheaper. Personally I wouldn't buy any TN panel, as IPS is the way to go.
@WestCoastMods You seriously want to compare this with TN panels?
I'll stop right there...
There aren't too many reviews to support your claims of ghosting and color accuracy (TN panels have great color accuracy, according to you comparatively). Response is high yes, But IPS screens also have higher response times then TN panels too (3x in fact, Most dell ones are 6ms)
Find me screens that have thiner bezels at this point in time, something that is preferable for eyefinity/surround.
I might also add that lying through your teeth is a bad thing. Provide evidence that this artifacts. Artifacting only occurs in the video signal from the gfx card, not the monitor itself. Dead pixels are a different story.
I'm surprised that you build enough computers and then lie about artifacts on screens?
I don't see why you want to get involved in this either. He is the one supposedly complaining he can't afford this or any other monitor setup that costs money?
@Roly702 I didn't mean to get you all bent out of shape...but reading reviews, this the info that I have seen. I have not used them myself, but the specs don't lie...and at 8ms response time they are slower than some of the IPS panels..case and point the U2410's that I own and even slower than my IPS HP LP3065...I did a thorough comparison vid TN vs IPS, maybe if you have time check it out...also I will PM you one of the reviews...please take the time to read it especially the conclusion
What do you think I was commenting on before? I'm well aware of different panel technologies, why do you think I criticized your comment on TN panels if I wasn't aware about panel technologies to begin with? I know I don't want poor viewing angels and inaccurate color reproduction if I'm spending money on a monitor, hence why I have a U2311H which I do more than just gaming on.
@Roly702 Then why the rude remarks.."lying through my teeth" How I "lie" about artifacts" and finally "There aren't too many reviews to support your claims of ghosting and color accuracy" TN panels are widely know for bad color accuracy...and there are tons of reviews out there. And the ones that say that there TN panel looks great, sure it might appear that way until you put a IPS or PVA panel next to it.
@WestCoastMods Not at one point did I praise TN panels? and Artifacting almost always occurs at the gfx card level, not on the monitor itself. If I worshiped TN panels, I'd be singing their praises, but I clearly don't.
If you are under the impression these are TN panels, they aren't. They are cPVA panels.
The point here is simple - this product is designed with surround in mind and has thiner bezels then most monitors, making it ideal.
@Roly702 that is why i have the same Nokia e90as this guy:) my pc is not yet so good though:D just bought a ati hd 5450 and still useing a22 inch...4:3 monitor:D its freeking huge:D

to everyone thats saying these are 3 screens that u buy separately this an all in one unit called the Samsung MD230X3 Multi-Display and runs for about $2099 AUS
It cost in Germany 1599 €. I dont know, why Samsung dont give a HDMI cable to the monitor. Thats it: Bild 58.5 cm (23 ") Bilddiagonale Matt 5760x1080 Pixel 16:9 Format 16,7 Mio. Farbabstufungen Darstellung Reaktionszeit (grau zu grau) 8 ms Kontrast 3000 : 1 Dynamischer Kontrast 150000 : 1 horizontaler Blickwinkel 178 ° vertikaler Blickwinkel 178 °
It can be, i dont know it now. I bought a Samsung Syncmaster 2693 HM 26" 1 Year ago for 399 € and i love him and thats it why i dont look for new screen prices at moment.
How does 3 samsung syncmasters led backlit 1080p displays stuck together cost 6.5k? Or less stick 3 32 inch samsungs togther each display costing £700.00 each and hmmm it still would not cost 6.5k so i struggle to understand your responce.
@NeoReloaded00 You're paying for the cPVA panels. TN panels are far cheaper and inferior in colour reproduction. Read up a little on LCD panel types before you ask such a question.
@neotees I dont need to read up on anythink. If that was all one monitor instead of 3 joined together then the widescreen would be slightly taller in height dimensions - but its not taller becuase its just 3 monitors joined together. Look am not saying its not cool but for the price you would have to have more case than brains!
Its just 3 monitors stuck together though! It would cause severe eye strain and head aches for one! It would be better if there was only one black frame around all of it instead of it being 3 displays joined together.

@NeoReloaded00 You obviously don't understand the situation.
If they had of used TN panels instead of cPVA LCD screens it would be cheaper.
You're not only payiong for 3 screens, you're paying the premium of superior cPVA panel technology.

Its just 3 monitors stuck together though! It would cause severe eye strain and head aches for one! It would be better if there was only one black frame around all of it instead of it being 3 displays joined together.

@NeoReloaded00 except that this setup costs about $2k and a 1 monitor setup like you sugest, isn't quite as large and costs $6.5k.
