*Sigh*. This is not Dubstep. Yes, it uses a distortion effect commonly found in Dubstep, but it was only used for a little bit. Just as every song with an electric guitar or piano is not in the same genre, so it is here. This is a style of music that would probably be classified as Electronica, where it's really a blend of lots of different techniques and styles. You're just not used to it yet. Years ago people complained about guitar being in everything, but it's normal now.

@irurwurst Excuse my lack of knowledge but I have a friend who's a fan of Skrillex and told me Skrillex makes only dubstep and if I'm not mistaken this is a Skrillex song. Regardless I would have preferred something more like the music they had in AC2 that felt like the score of a movie rather than what they chose, even if it had been done with a guitar, I'd like for the musical styling to be more like it was in AC2 where they wanted it to sound like a movie yet match the setting of the game.

No, this is not Skrillex. And really, ALL of Assassin's Creed's trailers have been mainly electronic styled music. It's not like this is the game music. They save the game music for the game. Assassin's Creed 2 has a trailer featuring Genesis by Justice. Not even close to what you're describing. There is a lot of variety in the trailers, some are set up like a movie trailer, some are set up like a music video. Just look around, there are about 10 different Revelations ones now.
