Firstly, there's no such thing as a "moderate conservative". A moderate embraces no particular political ideology, whereas a conservative embraces conservatism.
Secondly, the term "hardcore conservatives" is a redundancy. All true conservatives are hardcore, because all true conservatives believe in individual liberty, minimal government influence in our lives, and the basic moral rightness of our Constitution.
Thirdly, what you know about life I could fit into a matchbox with room leftover.

I think you're mistaken. Liberals only want to confiscate guns from those who own them legally and through proper channels, yet are too afraid to touch those who obtain them through illegal means.
