Just because its systema it dosent mean its good I don't mean to be trolling but I got shs full internals in my l86 and I've had it for about 3 and a half years with constant play and there a lot cheaper then systema.
Have you ever had the problem where the gun makes a terrible grinding noise? I've heard that it has to do with the motor adjustment, if so how would you go about fixing it?
I gutted out my SR25 and changed everything I could to Systema products. I was melting my trigger connector too. I took my pea shooter to AirSoft GI and they fixed the problem.
@aznpride389 yes, but he probably spent 200 or more in internals, i bought the A&K masada as well, its a really nice gun, but if you have the money go for the magpull one.
How well would this gun be after I replaced the gearbox (i heard stock gearbox was horrible) and also considering its $300 cheaper than the Magpul version??
@TheCrazyTman Yes ur ROF will be increased if it is a Magnum Motor, a Turbo motor, or the A t Z motor. the energy motor isn't really the greatest for ROF

Yeah, this review is consistent with other things I've heard about this gun; it's a masada, but the internals are shit. Magpul now makes their own airsoft masada's but they're significantly more expensive.

How much did all these upgrades cost? I already have a sytema M4A1 SOPMOD and am buying the Magpul PTS Masada, was considering gettiing Systema upgrades and bringing it up to standard with my PTW (or as close as I can to its standard)
Are the A&K internals very good stock? because if not im planning on buying a new gearbox for the masada... If the A&K internals are alright, then woould the internals be able to hold a m120 spring for say 50k rounds? also what typw of range do you get on this gun?
@Airsofter4ever123 I was not happy with them. They feel and look like cheap pot metal gear's so they got replace and while I had it open I went ahead and did the rest of the good's.
@Allaisverige1 how much do you know about how a gearbox operates? the motor has nothing at all to do with FPS the motor is ROF, the air-seal components make the FPS. and if you payed attention to the vid, you would know that he replaced the motor with a Systema Magnum.
@CRC1770 nothing. it's an M120. some companies just use different names. some say S120 instead of M120, some rate their spring in joules like a "1J" spring instead of listing as an 'M' usually those are the manufactures in china that don't care to translate the measurement to what we use in the states. though i don't know why we have have the different measurements than the rest of the world... w/e
@CRC1770 A&K's stock internals can take an M120 fine. pretty much any 'competition grade' airsoft gun can take an M120 without any internal work, some can take M130's like my KWA for example ran fine fine with all it's stock stuff and a systema M130 until i was able to get new stuff for it, but i would recommend upgrading the A&K parts if ur going to get an M130.

the reason you are getting a burst on semi is becuase when you are shooting is so fast fast that the cut off lever is not resetting itself fast enough. to just get semi working properly you can strech out the spring for it or you can buy a new one uz the stock one kinda sucks i dont think you would even think to replace such a simple part while you are upgrading it also can you post a disasembly video i think spelled that wrong but ill sub u
To everyone that has pm'd on the Masada, check your in boxes for your replies. The gun is still available, but I am unable to ship out of the state's due to being a non licensed version. Customs is not to friendly about it lol.
the reason why you get some burst when on semi is because the gears are spinning so fast they actually jump the stopping mechanism and make another rotation. It happens a lot with high speed guns and is not a big deal or a problem.
@TheFinalFrame What's funny about this is that I have a madbull m120 spring and I tried both and found I got better fps out of the systema over the madbull.
i have a g&p masada with a m110 spring in it. it is stock but the response is slow. i am wondering if i get a lipodo you think i should get a systema turbo or magnum motor
@TwoSnipersOneStrawPd If your going with a lipo I diffently recommend a magnum motor over a turbo. Sure the turbo is going to give you a little more speed but the magnum is right next to it in speed I think.

I was not impressed with the factory internals that's why I replaced them all but the cylinder, cylinder, and air nozzle. Motor I would replace for sure was not happy with it at all.
hey as of right now im trying to upgrade this rifle...i just got a black version of the masada and i was wondering if there is any type of air seal nozzle that would work for this hop up unit.or atleast anything that is long enough.
Just a quick one - I always seem to have problems getting my Gearbox back in, no matter how many times I try with that silly selector . Would you be so kind to do a video explaining how to put the gearbox back in the lower receiver (I only get stuck when I have to match the two selector levers!)
Looks very good; did replacing the bucking only give you a much better range? I put a Firefly in there, but had to use a fatter nub (custom).

You might have lost the little nub in the selector. I lost mine the first time and had the hardest time getting the gb back in but once I found the little nub I was able to get the gb back in quite easy.
Replacing the bucking did give me better accuracy and good range. I use a Systema bucking in the gun.
I like what you've done apart from the front end (rubber bands to hold the RIS Rail? hehe - whatever floats the boat I suppose). Now when I got mine, I had it chronoed (cheaper chinese chrono) and it came out at 230fps. I changed over the cylinder and cylinder head from a standard v.2 box, and upgraded with an Element M105 spring (345fps). Now 130fps though.
lol there not rubberband's lol. That's a battery pouch that I use for my larger battery lol. I would suggest going back to the factory cylinder and cylinder head due to the fact that the cylinder head is not a standard v2 cylinder head but a sr-25 style cylinder head. From what you saying, your not getting a good enough air seal, so put the factory cylinder and cylinder head back in and see where that get's you first. Then if your fps is still low we can work from there.
ok this might be a dumb question but I am new to airsoft and was wondering what the bolt charger is for on this gun? is it strictly just for the looks and availability to set the hop up or are you supposed to pull it once you load a clip?
.59 secs in you will see a very good picture of the battery which makes it very obvious that it's a 8 cell battery, with black end caps. So yes it's a 9.6v not a 10.8v. Sorry
There are actually a few vids out the of it being dissasembled. Check out videos by Appslapp, he has some post on his page. Video's are name (acm masada and masada review part 3. If those don't help let me know what you want a video of and I will try to get one done for you.
The spring comes out like any other V2 gearbox. There are plenty of video's on here that you can find that will show you how to swap spring's on a V2 gearbox. If you are not comfy with opening the gearbox I would recommend taking it to a tech for assistance.
So I believe that I have figured out why I am have some burst shot's on semi. With the motor and power the gun has, I'm going to have to looking into a mosfet for the active breaking. Seems the motor is spinning so fast that it's quicker than the trigger pull so it pulls the piston threw another cycle.
Well to get the Fps your looking for I would suggest around a m120 spring that normally will get you around 380-400 fps. As for cost on all upgrades. I probably go around $300-$350 in parts.
@xSTINKYxFROMAGEx There is aways a possibility that up grading the spring could cause extra wear on the gears but if your wanting to bring you fps up that's a chance you might have to take. I will say that the A&K gear's seem decent so you might have good luck with them lasting for awhile.
I also forgot to mention but what I'm going to eventually do to my Masada is get the 18in barrel and a JBU 8.25in suppressor and also get a 650mm tightbore barrel. And that set up should make it dead accuarate, so I could use it for a DM role.
I thought about that when thinking of my upgrade and decided not to due to the fact that I would not be using the cylinder,cylinder head and air nozzle. And I was told from my systema source that those drop in dont work well without a systema hop up
HKATT - Have you got stock hop-up unit? If so, any iddea how to remove this from inner barrel, mine has a small brass ring behind the hop up unit that will tear the rubber if I force it off.

@Madwyvern stock hop up, I had the same problem with the bucking when I took out the barrel. I replaced the bucking with a Systema bucking. Luckily I did not tear the factory bucking and still have it with me. Just take your time when seperating the inner barrel from bucking. As for fps I'm and getting a consistent 360-365 fps with excellent range around 150ft or so. Yes it is a stock barrel but going to upgrade it to a TB most likely Systema also. Supressor is home made.

if you replace the GB you will have to use the factory cylinder cylinder head and air nozzle.

The air nozzle and cylinder head work very well with this gun. I recommend keeping them and the hop up works good with them

lol there not rubberband's lol. That's a battery pouch that I use for my larger battery lol. I would suggest going back to the factory cylinder and cylinder head due to the fact that the cylinder head is not a standard v2 cylinder head but a sr-25 style cylinder head. From what you saying, your not getting a good enough air seal, so put the factory cylinder and cylinder head back in and see where that get's you first. Then if your fps is still low we can work from there.

ok this might be a dumb question but I am new to airsoft and was wondering what the bolt charger is for on this gun? is it strictly just for the looks and availability to set the hop up or are you supposed to pull it once you load a clip?

by the way you are using a 10.8v battery. a 9.6v battery has only 8 cells, you have 9 cells

.59 secs in you will see a very good picture of the battery which makes it very obvious that it's a 8 cell battery, with black end caps. So yes it's a 9.6v not a 10.8v. Sorry

The spring comes out like any other V2 gearbox. There are plenty of video's on here that you can find that will show you how to swap spring's on a V2 gearbox. If you are not comfy with opening the gearbox I would recommend taking it to a tech for assistance.

So I believe that I have figured out why I am have some burst shot's on semi. With the motor and power the gun has, I'm going to have to looking into a mosfet for the active breaking. Seems the motor is spinning so fast that it's quicker than the trigger pull so it pulls the piston threw another cycle.

Well to get the Fps your looking for I would suggest around a m120 spring that normally will get you around 380-400 fps. As for cost on all upgrades. I probably go around $300-$350 in parts.

@xSTINKYxFROMAGEx There is aways a possibility that up grading the spring could cause extra wear on the gears but if your wanting to bring you fps up that's a chance you might have to take. I will say that the A&K gear's seem decent so you might have good luck with them lasting for awhile.

I also forgot to mention but what I'm going to eventually do to my Masada is get the 18in barrel and a JBU 8.25in suppressor and also get a 650mm tightbore barrel. And that set up should make it dead accuarate, so I could use it for a DM role.

I thought about that when thinking of my upgrade and decided not to due to the fact that I would not be using the cylinder,cylinder head and air nozzle. And I was told from my systema source that those drop in dont work well without a systema hop up

HKATT - Have you got stock hop-up unit? If so, any iddea how to remove this from inner barrel, mine has a small brass ring behind the hop up unit that will tear the rubber if I force it off.
Looking very nice! what FPS you getting from it - and i take it has stock barrel? What supressor you using? i have an US version

@Madwyvern stock hop up, I had the same problem with the bucking when I took out the barrel. I replaced the bucking with a Systema bucking. Luckily I did not tear the factory bucking and still have it with me. Just take your time when seperating the inner barrel from bucking. As for fps I'm and getting a consistent 360-365 fps with excellent range around 150ft or so. Yes it is a stock barrel but going to upgrade it to a TB most likely Systema also. Supressor is home made.
