Oz, being HBO's first drama, set the template for a lot of modern TV. Its influence can be seen on so many shows that I think it's almost criminal how underrated it is. Ahead of its time and easily my favourite!

this show was never boring there was always something going off, graphic violence, love, redemption, revenge, racism, and good narration about certain themes that really make you think, even though these people were crimi8nals we all felt for certain characters, i must say tim mcmanus is like a hero to me, so moral!

Oz had so many awful deaths. I’d say the reverend (played by Luke Perry) being sealed alive behind a brick wall was one of them. Not bloody, but the claustrophobic element adds to the psychological torture.

The violence was only one of the ingredients that made this show great.

@DxJ90x You’re right. He did survive the first time, but it was later revealed that he’d been taken away from the hospital and sealed (yet again) into a different wall by the bikers, this time for good.

Death by immurement in this case seems to have a religious connotation, and considering that they’re in a prison, it’s also doubly ironic.

Beastly show (in a good way). The most painful scenes of violence for me to watch were the crucifying one (given) and the Muslim guy getting slowly sliced to death by the Aryans in Season 5. While the violence was pretty morbidly fascinating to watch, Fontana never glorified it although he could've easily done it. Great show with great messages.

Keller's blowjob kills were awesome, though.

Can't believe they killed Adebisi with Kareem. Man fuck Kareem. I love that actor man but Adebisi's character is badass. (They play as father and son in Lord of War... and I think they also both played as comrades in Tears of the Sun.)

i cant get enought of this show and my favourite is dean winters aka ryan O Riley. he is so munipulative which is awesome and tobias is interesting to watch, he is abit scarey sometimes which is funni but wrong. he is nuts and "loco".
