I had this but I remember HATING it. Not because of the fact that I was getting exercise but because World Class Track Meet never worked properly. I would jump and the character would smash into the hurdle. Then he would get up and jump.

I actually think this was a good idea at the time as kind of a way to trick kids into exercising who might not otherwise do it. I remember playing that track and field game with one of my friends. We had a lot of fun on it. I think this was a real first step in this category of exergaming. I bet Nintendo learned a lot from the Power Pad that helped them make a truly kick-ass product in the Wii Fit.

Me and my sisters had one of those. They were made of really thin plastic and foam so they were kind of hard to break. Still no less of a flop though. Then of course we all distracted each other by pullint pants down and pushing each other. The Thing was barely used much like every other nintendo accessory. Everyone had A power glove, zapper gun, a robot, whatever the turbo controller was called as well as the big joystick and rolled up behind it all was the Power pad.
