@theREALkaner I disagree. Irving has great footwork, patience, and an endless arsenal of post moves at his disposal. He also has the ability to be a game changer on the defensive side of the ball. His ability to block shots will allow his teammates to play more aggressively on the perimeter because they know h will be there to erase any mistakes they may make.

Was out 3 months and although they lost to AZ...he had monster game with little to no conditioning on biggest stage. Other players didn't show up that game. He did. He slayed everything before him. If played at KY and did same thing wouldn't get as much doubters.

Kyrie is one of the best players i've seen play college ball in awhile. He's way mature than a lot of the other players.. this being said, he still shouldn't go into the draft this year. College basketball is so much more real and raw then the NBA where your playing for money, fame, etc..

@gambitazul He was the best player on Duke, and Kemba Walker is a 2guard. Cavs need a PG so this is why he is going first. Derrick Williams is def. a good pick, but they can get more value out of a guy like Vesley.
He is #1 overall because Irving has sick handles, takes good shots, and involves his team. Simple.

Personally I think a aging Baron Davis or even Ramon Sessions could run circles around this kid. Do you think this guy is better than John Wall? All I'm saying is that Derrick Williams to me is the better and safer pick in the draft and Cleveland made a huge mistake passing up on him. Of course he's no John Wall or Derrick Rose... Also, sometimes the No. 1 pick doesn't have to be the best player but the one who's a better fit. Although MJ is the best player ever, Houston still did the right thing in getting Hakeem Olajuwon; he was from the local university and they needed a big man.
Even though Derrick Williams may be more NBA ready, the last thing the Cavaliers need is a hybrid SF/PF; they already have Antawn Jamison and J.J. Hickson there. They need a point guard a lot more.

I just don't see Kyrie making it in the pros with those moves to the basket against the big men of the NBA. He will have to either shoot or assist more.

Some guys like Nolan Smith could have gone to the NBA draft as a freshman and been a low pick but he committed to staying for all four years. The weird thing is that Austin Rivers is coming next year and he is definitely a one and done player.

@topple7384 He's the reason Duke has always been one of the premier teams. He builds teams, not one-year squads. Duke was good before he came but Coach K took them to a whole new level. That's why I regard him as the best sports coach ever-even over Phil Jackson, John Wooden, Tony Dungy, and Bob Knight. And Austin is most definately one-and-done caliber but we will have to see. It will be a joy watching him go up against Marshall Plumlee and Quinn Cook tonight

Kyrie is one of the best players i've seen play college ball in awhile. He's way mature than a lot of the other players.. this being said, he still shouldn't go into the draft this year. College basketball is so much more real and raw then the NBA where your playing for money, fame, etc..
