hi anyone help me to solve my big problem with the XH A1s please...

i've brought a this camera recently when i start to take a group ( 5people) of people

right side to left side or left side to right side one by one person my video image getting BLUR just like a shaking. but when i stop my camera troll in its getting good clear image. its make me mad ... i don't know too many things about camera thats way.. anyone know why its happen please ......

I have this camera (for a while) and I always record using HDtapes, but i have a friend who has a panasonic and he uses regular tapes to reccord HD, did you ever try doing that?

If you buy a Canon, you will eventually have to face the factory service center and they will NOT honor their warranty. My HD so-called Professional Camera has been in the shop THREE times in its short 6 month life. They tried to charge me $1,000 because of a defective firewire port. Complete idiots. Defective equipment and a 4 year warranty. I will NEVER buy any Canon product again. Period. Considering it, are you? Save your money ... don't do it. Canon sucks.

@wdhughes52 You are so RIGHT about this camera. It sucks and it's overrated. There are (for me) HUGE problems trying to get it to stay in focus. And when it looks as if it does, the footage comes out strangely fuzzy and flat on the PC (you need a Mac to even get a decent look from this camera). The Flip Ultra HD gives better images than this turkey.

hay when i go to my signal setup the only options it has is comp.out 480i or 1080i/480i it does not have all the options you have on yours, how is that?

Thanks for the heads up. Been told I need a 1080p cam but I have been told 1080i 24 progressive is the same so effin confused lol. Thanks for the vid though and @nakedvolleyball ... relax bud get some meds do some tai chi w/e no need to be so hostile especially to ppl you don't know.

this is probably a stupid question. what is the difference between this 1080i camera, and a small, handycam-like camcorder that also shoots in 1080i???

@SamGravesFilm Glass. The lens in this is much higher quality than a handycam. This also has more manual controls, a larger sensor (the sensor captures the light and makes it into the video, bigger means better low light). This also has separate rings to control the lens and zoom

hd is always in 16:9 there is no such thing as hd in 4:3 but i just learned that recently too so don't worry:)

? not megapixel its resolution and hd has a much higher RESOLUTION it would take 6 sd videos combined to make it 1080 p or something like that

Hi. We have a Canon XH G1 and we are using an Osprey 700e HD capture card. What settings does the camera have to be on to capture true HD quality?  I am currently using Windows Media Encoder. When I encode in HD quality, the final result is still pixelated. Is this WME? should I switch over to a better encoder such as Niagra? Any tips are appreciated!

hi , I just bought my new HD Canon XH A1 PAL. it's a great camera , but I don't understand something. In my menu I don't have 60i , 30 F , 24 F. I have 50i and 25F. What can I do to setup my cam in 24F? I realy don't understand, 60i , 30F , 24F, are just for NTSC ?Can you please tell me? thanks! i

yes, 50i and 25p are exclusively for PAL cams :(

in some way...but you can use the 25f in PAL to simulate the 24f of NTSC. Is not big deal .There is no difference between 24f of NTSC and 25f of PAL. Cheers! Shoot more worry less :)

it's a progressive look in an interlaced signal. however, if your editing/capture program can understand the 24F cadence, it can capture your video progressively.
