This was done by pressure but if you wanted to do it by heat you'd need 50,000-100,000 degrees of heat which again is only capable by nuclear detonation. The South Tower was bought down first by the Emergency Nuclear Demolition Scheme in order to keep the channel to WTC7 open. If they'd done the North Tower first it would have damaged the South channel to WTC7 which wouldn't allow the detonation of the South. Then the last evidence which was WTC7 was demolished and job done!
