try to buy an energy efficiant car. the car companies make far fewer than the demand and sell them for more than you will ever save. the average American can barely afford one. the dealers know this and add thier own little "finders fee" on the tail end. one needs to either make your own fuel and retro fit your existing vehicle or you are shit out of luck in this venue. I'm not sure I follow the video game argument. People use to say the same thing about fictional literature way back when. Obviously some games (i.e. war/murder simulators) are being used to manipulate the masses. Perhaps entertainment in moderation relieves enough stress to help us stay focused the rest of the time. The key is moderation which is possible with discipline.

The key is knowing that what you are watching is propaganda and mind control. Once you realize it, it is not as effective. But it still has some effect. I rarely watch much t.v anymore and I find I am less stressed because of it. Try it for a short time...or ween yourself off. You will feel better and not as sleepy early in the evening.

Ya we killed the tv a while back. If I Didnt have a computer, Id still have it though, for independent docs and the like. I was just suggesting in the case of video games being a frivolous distraction, a little of that is acceptable. My games are roms on an emulator so Im not feeding the beast. Also I am aware of the propaganda and mind control, so as you suggested, its not as effective. Id pass it to you if only you were on my left(420 that is)

Gotcha..and that's a real good thing. I am pretty close to not using the TV also, except for DVD's. My son plays more games than I. I have kinda re-focused elsewhere. I may play an game now and then of Madden or Resident evil. But that's about all I have ever done gamewise.

I do wonder about frequencies even when it's off. But I am certainly a lot calmer with it off.
