It's only been 11 games. In the middle of that stretch the Kings did have a 4 game losing streak. Only 4 of their 11 games without Martin have been against serious playoff contenders.

The schedule gets a lot tougher in December. If they Kings are still .500 when the ball drops in Times Square, then maybe the anti-Martin crowd has a point.

martin is one of my favortie players along with garcia, but the way we've been winning without them says something. now if martin and garcia comes then we will have a more dangerous back court and i think this season we can get 30+ games

great win for sacramento, sergio rodriguez played well and made some really nice plays, beno did not miss one shot, JT and tyreke came out strong, omri played an all around great game, and brockman going for every rebound, i agree when Kevin Martin comes back we will have one of the best backcourts in the league.

Imagine Evans and a HEALTHY Martin! They can cause problems to teams..and they can always mix and match with the other young talents on their bench. Will they be a playoff team? I don't think so, but I think they are heading in a good direction. They'll be a pretty good team once everybody is healthy and they play more games together. One thing they have now is a good coaching staff..that really knows how to motivate and inspire this team. It's a TEAM effort and you have to play to win.

i love this young KINGS team! they were quite disappointing last year and just out of sync, but look at them now...it's premature to really predict anything at the moment. I still think that Kevin Martin is needed even though the team is doing good now. I know he's been injury proned, but he still is their leading scorer. He can give instant offense and even open up the other guys.

If beating up on bad teams and scrapping to .500 ball is good enough for you, then yeah they don't need a borderline All-Star. If you'd like to see this team make the playoffs and play at least an extra 4 games then they will need Kevin Martin.
