  • This was the last but not the only song that Abraham Afewerki has sung about life. Strong words! Never lose meaning even if translated ten times.

  • laughing has a place in life but to laugh 247 is no good.

  • I love this song!! :D

Thanks a million for posting it!

  • does anyone here know where I can get the instrumental for this song so I can translate this song and sing it in English??

  • Comment removed

  • @hadeseb an instrumental link....... /watch?v=NWXWXzROMKw (Hade1hade channel)

  • Someone needs to translate it to English so we can enjoy it. Like the Bible it needs to be translated and disseminated to the masses so all of humanity can benefit from this wonderful artist's teachings. He could be the Tigrinyan Bob Marley...

  • @jadapoo1 does anyone here know where I can get the instrumental for this song so I can translate this song and sing it in English??

  • @hadeseb Unfortunately, I don't. I have the song in Tigrinya only. Try one of the habesha music stores in your area.

  • AY AMAHARA SET YIMESIL BEKA ATENSHIN FELEGA BEYEBOTAW TILIKE MALETE NEWE ADEL. WE DO NOT WANT THIS SONG IN AMAHARIC LANGUAGE. YEREGO ZEMBOCH!!!! AMAHARA MALETIU IS ZEMBI WAYE..........

  • @meinname11

we are enjoying the aesthetic beauty of this song and it is not seeking the skinny ass shabiya attention. is it you who is seeing our attention or we. we live freely enjoying everything beautiful and nice and you hate everything else but you. losers! amharas are sociable and nice people and shabiyas are complex ridden idiots. but eritreans are alike any other habesha- nice and compassionate people.

  • Nice dedication to him. But I agree the original is better. Nice version as well. 5 stars.

  • betam new yewodedkut

  • wow he is the best

  • The techno thing kinda hurts my ears - it feels like it keeps switching speakers. But I like his voice and the music.

  • nice one keep uer job brooo

  • i love the begining.

  • owow he id it as if abarahm afeworki sounds!

  • VIVA ERITRAAAAAA

  • What about copyright? Has Abraham G/Medhin paid for this song? This is fraud. Abraham G/Medhin should not put this song on CD. What do u think people? Shall we start a campaign?????????????

  • This song is belong to Eriterian Aberahm Afewerki, but someone imetate into Amharic. I like the guy vocal and the poem who play it here. Think about copy right on the other hand. I like this music. Abreham was a nice musician from Eriterian. Where is Samy Berhane?

  • OH HELL FUCK NAW.PLEASE STOP IT.you can never do it like the amazing Abraham Afewerki.you u didn't.shit SUCKS.

  • @hizbawite Shut the f**k up. People like you are the reason there is war in this planet.

  • ....beautiful...beautiful... ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

  • who cares about the amharic version singer, the original singer is abraham afewerki

enjoy cause the amharic version is good also.

  • 528

speak to me in the original language of Tigrinya.

Amhata will never get power ever again. Tigrai elelelelelele

  • AbysinnianBeauty

We never came from amhara? learn some history you idiot. The tigrinya language outdates your monkey language, it came over 1000 years before amahara.

Soon Meles will ban amharic and you kumatas will be forced to speak the beautiful language of Tigrinya

  • fuck all you abeshas, you pussy fucks. wesha bebetu anbesa, sedet lay aram, dont forget to the rest of the world we are just another light skinned NIGERS!!! you are just proving what they want from us, they dont wat to see us untie. sedet lay nezelekum kulu, habesha menged lay setay lebeh bedesta aymolam! yaye yakewal... anyway forget the politics we are one. one love motherfuckers

  • so basically tigre hate amhara ( the oldest , most orignal ethnic group ) for no reason..

we came from amhara so stop being ignorant and stop hating!! we are all ethiopians...

amhara ppl r sooo nice ,

tigre 's are just jelous cuz amhara's have been in the throne for a long time

  • @AbyssinaianBeauty l...lol good point...and the most educated by far!!! Now kill me for telling the truth...:)

  • @AbyssinaianBeauty azeb deki ? LOOOL yoo yuh live in ottawa rite ? :D

  • Amhara Kumata always want to steal tigrinya culture and history. Stick to teddy afro jamacian style.

This song is originally by Eri-Tigrinya Abraham Afewerki.

  • wow u r so dumb

u came from amhara so shut the fuck up

  • @AgameListro aram yaram lij ! you dont have suff. air n food. for the music the raven can sing 10 times than tigrigna-er

  • @AgameListro not even T_T Its cause the music is so good they want it in their own language too. I'm tigrinya and I think it's good that our music transcends the war and hate and all that. Only the best songs are translated to different languages, it means that not only does most of the people in your country love that music, even other countries are impressed.

Anyway....I like the original better. bahahhaa, but the original is always better. This guy is very good too.

  • fuck both abraham and his imposter.

  • thanks

for doing this ... it is memorie for some of us who knws it will make peace between this two cuontry >>>>it shows me there is no fighiting between the ppl perhap we can bit the two government if we make peace the ppl between us

thanks a lot it mean to world

  • the singer did Abraham Afewerki a favor, it made this soothing and touchingly beautiful creation available for the Amharic speaking population of Ethiopia. I think, someone should translate it into Oromigna and make it available for the Oromofika speaking population.

The original artist will always be Abraham Afewerki, and we love him for that. However, they should give recognition that they translated it from Tigrinya and give credit to the original creator of the lyrics, Abraham Afwerki.

  • only the best are admired, and Abraham Afewerki is one of the best Eritrean singer

the best, i love everything he does. what a loss.

in 5yrs, the Ethiopians will say this guy was the Original singer for this song!

  • shut up lil ethio..... ethiopians constantly have eritreans on their mind and what eritrea is doing, you guys want eritrea part of yall so bad. this song is horrible compared to the original

  • ሙዚቃ ዳር ድንበር ወሰን የለውም ጎበዝ

  • The real song is sung by an Eritrean artist. Somebody stole this and put it in Amharic. It was meant for Eritreans sung by Abraham Afwerki

  • what a fantastic copy from original semai abraham afwarki any way he got every thing abraham was trying to say in tigrinya he must be a vip of the 09 i like the song mesak new amale good job

  • wouldn't make any difference who sing the song

  • do you understand what "intellectual property means?"

Its like copying someone's book and claim it's yours. Outside of Africa such violations are punishable by law.

  • I always loved Abrehm Afeworki's songs especially this one. and i love the AMHARIC version thank u Abreham G/medihin

  • It is not by Abreham Gebremedihin. But I really don't know who is he lol.

  • It wouldn't make any difference who sing the song.lets call him mystery man is that better? Peace..........................

  • his name is sami yaynu

  • Why do u want to keep the singer name as a secrate. Is that because of Erirea or what. Shame on you. You are just full of hate. For those who wants to know the orginal singer of this song who he was and is an Eritrean hero through all his songs and lyrics since year ago. And he passed a way a couple of yrs ago. Rest in peace RIP.

  • you must be talking about yourself when you said you are full of HATE. i can't speak for 4every body but i am not a hater! i just want to know who was the singer? ( Amharic Version)

  • d4seasom-----for the 100th time, we said the orginal singer in Tigrigna IS ABRAHAM AFEWERKI. the amharic version is the one that I have no clue about.

    JUST ENJOY THE MUSIC

  • dude this singer ( amharic version) iis living in toronto canada, and his name is AMANUEAL

  • his name is sami yaynu

  • I am Eritrean, and like the Abrhame Afeworki song in Amharic. My only concern is the power of the Lyrics seems to lose in Amharic-The song is deep in meaning and philosophy.....for E.g. Mesak is not mean Fishikta : Fishikta is more like a gentle deep smile: plus i did't hear SEMAY EYU DERETEY my be he would say it Semay new Kelkayiyey (sky is the border)....

Any way Abrhame G/medhin is one of the best top new tigrina singer with powerful vocal asset ..keep it up! Hope to see more and more..

  • hmm i think what fishikta means in amharic is "fegegta (smile)" maybe they should have used that word..

  • it´s nice i love it but the original is much better

  • this is not disrespecting anybody,it's development of cultural understanding, so why dont u guys spew your hate somewhere else

  • listen

For someone that really enjoys listening to abraham afwerki but can't speck or understand tigriya its a blessing to finally understand what this song is talking about :)

    loving it !

  • wtf is this is just piece of shit man if it is in tigrnyia it should stay that way man it fuck up i mean this abraham afewerki not abraham g medhin it not even a person probably it just a resdent of ethopia beside to the people of ethopia it is ABRAHAM AFWERKI not abraham g medhin.

  • thanks again Ethiopiawiit

No one is like him. love him for ever and ever!!!

  • The Original artist is not Unknown he is very well known and famous. He is ABRAHAM AFEWORKI the GREAT ERITREAN ARTIST.

  • Yes, the original song is Abraham Aforki's from Eritrea and the Tigrigna version is way better than this amharic version. Almost all Abraham Aforki's songs are amazingly pleasing to hear. Yes, no one is like Abraham Aforki!

  • lloool tigringa sounds way better

  • hehe i feel u..u know who dis is Nyatt :)

  • Shit it sounds way better in TIgrinya....the original singer ABRAHAM AFEWRKI....

  • Comment removed

  • i love this song....is this a new artiest?

love my ppl cuz we rock ....long live ETHIOPIA

  • It's Eritrean Song, not Ethiopian.

  • U DAMNNN ASS HOLE (listro1234)!!!!!! Ur fella is coping this music MORON!!!!!!! Long live ERIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII !!!!!!!!!! AKA Abraham Afewerki.

  • is this abraham g/medhin singing it in amharic????

  • I GIFT THIS SONG FOR TEDDY AFRO

  • " Fegegta new Amele" would have been a better translation and would have an accurate impact for the message of the song.

In any case, the effort is well worth it. good job.

  • 1:56

4 Those of u who don't know the original, the true "semai" music belongs to Modern Tigrigna Artist (composer, lyrist, krarist, guitarist, arranger....) Abraham Afewerki, who originally is from Eritrea but whose works are more internationalized, not only stayed in the horizons of Eritrea, whom death took him from our (at leat my) hand....

  • 0.00000000000000000001% compared to Abraham Afewrki's work

I'm from Ethiopia, but totally sad of zis much diminished work if u know ze original. But, can't diminish ze "Semai" of late Abrish, who is now in "Semai"...

I said this when I first heard it on FM Addis "The most ugliest work I've ever listened..." Because Abrish's "Semai" was my Emblem (I know it's not only mine). Who on earth would love his/her emblem be remixed... Every sound of Musical instrument couldn't make a music...

  • it is not him, but it sound like abraham afeworki. it is a great work and reminds me the greatly missed abraham. there is no person who will replace the legend.

  • ethiopiaWiit, i think what ppl mean is that the original is by Abraham afewerki (as u urself said) and not A g.medhin. i dont think they are talking about enjoying it or not (this version sucks for me, btw) but just to point out since there is a singer called A g.medhin

  • There is no point in saying "this is not abraham g/medhin" over and over.

it's like any other music. If you can't enjoy it, then dont listen to it.

  • Nice & cool

  • EthiopiaWIT you didnt do good.

    This is really bad.

If this guy is really a misician am really sorry for him.

    The Original is better.

  • wooooow nice version, i love the original and i love this too

  • this is not abraham gebremedin

  • MUSIC IS A UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE.

Great job, who ever translated the song had to be a great music lover & talented artist.

PS: The critics need to have appreciated the music & talent of the artist, instead of nit-picking every syllable.

PROVE IF YOU HAVE THE MOTIVE, TALENT & LOVE FOR MUSIC AS THE ARTIST DID?

  • please have a say, what would be the exact literal translation of "Fishikta" to Amharic?

    my guess is "Fegegta".

  • that's right "Fegegta" should have been instead of "misak"

  • the translation is a little off. like the part "misak new amileye" is not the same as "Fishekta amilay."

  • what would have to be then? lol.

  • helina27... you are correct....

imagine how far the notion is twisted when we read translated novels... there could not bbe a 1 to 1 precise translation from one language to another.

this version is still okay though

  • This is not Abreham Gebremedhin.

  • Please,this is not Abraham G/medhin!

  • serious? i was convinced it was him. Who is this singer then?

  • I don't know the singers name,but not Abraham G/medhin

  • please, ethiopiawitt change the singer name if possible because he is not Abreham G/medhin.

  • Hi Ethiopiawiit i like it so much it is so lovely! and the singer is Abraham Afewerki from Ereatria Not Abraham G/medhin1

but tnx so much for posting keep it up.

  • The tigrigna version is by Abraham Afewerki. As for the amharic version, i dont know who the singer is. But, thank you.
