  • The batteries can be charged at home with outlets charging and how long

  • what would you say bettert ? art tech or exceed rc

  • i love the video. what does the c stand for in f/a 18 c? im looking to get one and dont wanna get the wrong one. im a first time flyer, but a quick learner been into rc 8scales.

  • How do I get started testing planes like you do

  • the blue angels would be proud, kik ass jet, mate.

  • For people who keep asking, the F-18 is NOt a good beginner edf jet. A Good Beginner Edf jet is a T-33 . Even a small one with say a 30" wingspan (50mm) they are very stable, low roll rate, low elivatior throw and if you crash it, its easy to fix

  • Five star. And what you said about people returning items is true

  • i hear alot that a F-18 is a good beginner EDF. do you agree? if not whats better for beginners?

  • @EnterpriseXI Look up accipiter badius, I have one and its a nice park flyer. If you wanna get into the hobby with nitro aircraft, then I recomend the Hobbico Nexstar .46. Its the best trainer money can buy.

  • This why Maverick doesn't help u to land.... :)

  • is this hard to fly? something u could recomend for a beginner?

i would really like to get a jet but i havent flew much before

  • Just ordered this plane. I added a charger thanks to you. I thought it came with one, thanx man. For the elevator push rods, to be thrifty, u could just bend a paperclip to fit the need. I think that is what I am gonna do, and do you know of any bigger ducted fans I could put in it for bigger power, or a bigger battery with higher volts?

  • That is very cool!

  • lol loser

  • Pilot looks a bit like you :)

  • hard luck about the charger

  • do you get paid for testing the planes?

  • That thing's a beauty!! :D

  • instead of using ball links you could put a thin carbon rod over the push rods

  • you are a very good flyer!! and nice plane!!

  • The background music is very annoying. :-(

  • does anyone know if nitroplanes fixed the problems that he addressed, and also, how can you test the range like he said he did in the video

  • how high can that go?

  • 9 dislikes??go get a life...!! its a nice vid! :)

  • awsome filming and flying

  • Comment removed

  • Does exceed still make that plane? ive been lookin for it on nitro but cant find it

  • @boogersnot527 just go to search and type in exceed RC f-18

  • So u cant recharge it??

  • I want one now... i live in pensacola and it would be cool to see one of those flying around in my neighborhood. lol

  • dude have your fucking balls dropped yet? Your voice cracks more than steve urcle.

  • hi im thinking of getting either the art tech f4u corsair or the f18C ....which one do you think is better?

  • Hey dave, which of these 2 planes would you reccomend?

  • man you have the best youtube channel!

i always look on your website for new videos:)

    and you fly is great:)

  • i was just waiting for you to say "duck tape" at hestart

  • At 7:48 it breaks the sound barrier

  • tooooooooooooooooooo lllooooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggg

  • guys i lost the frequency bind cable where can i buy one

  • how many rc planes and helis do you have

  • hahah if this was an rc power vid thed still try flying it they have a history of flying planes or trying until theres nothing left to throw

  • I got this today and im a begginer, You think that was a bad idea even though i know about it since i fly real planes? like o know what speed and when it will stall and stuff. And do i use glue to fix it if it breaks?

  • ya its fine as long as you no that when its coming toward you the controls are reversed

  • Comment removed

  • muy buen video y avion

  • gotta hand it to ya thats one nice bird

    great flying footage

it looks like a real F/A-18 from afar

  • where can i buy 1 ov these

  • Highway to the danger zone!!!

  • Dave, could you review the parkzone Habu when it gets released? I know its not a nitroplanes jet and it is on the expensive side... but maybe you can borrow one? I'm sure you would get over 1 million views with that review though if done ASAP. Plus many of us getting ready to through down $400 for an EDF just about to come out untested.

  • loooooong and boooooooring. im a loser

  • man you need practice for typing!

  • when you said "hit it" you sprayed it with something?

  • Hi Dave, I just bought a F18 kit.. Did you use the standard motor provided from the kit? It seemed quite powerful for a standard kit motor. Also is there special mixing required for the tail (like elevon) or was it just basic elevator? Thanks in advance.

  • your just saying that because you cant afford good rc stuff!

  • lol! I run a hobby shop, I have over 40 planes teddy : )

    80" 12S BRUSHLESS KMP Stuka with a 110db soundsystem...

80" 12S Brushless Kyosho Spitfire with sound system...

55" 7S Brushless Kyosho Hein with sound system...

    60" Brushless Great planes Seawind...

    (2) 52" Brushless Kyosho A6M Zeros...

55" GP Brushless Matt Chapman 3D...

I can go on and on, but I think I've made my point, Again!

  • still cant say that people that buy exceed are retards!

  • your right, r-tards was a bit strong...

It's not peoples fault for getting tricked...

  • I agree with you Nitroplanes or Banannahobby is better.

  • @jetflyyer

I would avoid bananahobby at all costs. They have a VERY bad reputation. If you dont believe me look it up yourself. Google their name

  • @rrose862005 Is it because of their poor product quality?

  • why do i get thumbs down for sayning that it is wrong to call people retards?

  • meh

  • u have a very nice hobby

  • what if you put cameras on board i did this in my plane and i can do AMAZING triks now

  • Hey lowisao were did u get your camera for your plane?

  • i dunno if this shop exists in us but i bought that at "FAST SHOP" there is also in a sony shop its a wwireless camera device

  • but the image resolution sucks n u cant go very far because the camera wont work very far i use it only to know where i am going to you cant use it for "recognition missions"

  • were can i buy them ball links and a battery charger for the plane

  • Your an excellent pilot Dave. A few questions.

    1. Do you test for Nitro or Exceed?

    2. Where can I apply if you do?

That would be the greatest job in the world!

  • Thanks. I occasionally get new stuff to test for both.

They asked me because of my flying reputation, I did not apply. But if you keep practicing and make honest independent videos, you never know who will ask you to test something. Good luck and thanks.

  • @NightFlyyer Thats what i call dedication!! Freezing cold with the wind nonetheless and you are having a ball. people like you is what gives this great hobby a good face. wish you lived in alabama!! lol

  • SUPER video !! :-)

  • Thanks very much.

  • u have lots of rc airplanes =] ur my fave rc youtube channel

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • @NightFlyyer hey dave my name is jalen and im only 12 and i strted flying when i was 9 and i just wanted to to know tht u inspired me to strt flying and the planes tht i have are a BZ-35, that exact plane but in a tiger meet version, a cuper cub, and a F-22..... anyway thnx and please keep doing ur videos

  • does it have ACT capability?

  • No it doesn't

  • i was gonna say, 9/10 times a plane that has act and its on it wont crash, the other 1/10 is from a bad takeoff or bad wind

  • No, and don't use that.

  • i don't know if you said how fast they were going because i jumped to 10:00 from beginning. Buy, yea.. How fast do they go?

  • I just bought this plane. Where do you get those ball-link supports for the push-rods?

    I LOVE YOUR REVIEWS-

  • I made them. Thanks kindly.

  • The Ef-2000 looked like it was more RTF than this one!

  • About the same. The EF2000 also has a rudder to hook up.

  • haha nice pilot

  • LOL

  • are these planes durable?

  • No plane can withstand a crash, but hot melt glue puts em right back together fairly well.

  • a lot of hard work done on the flying these things i guess..

  • you know... this really brings back good memories. When i used to go to my dads work every once and a while, we would drive past this old farm. And there was always a few guys there flying these things on a little runway they paved. Man... good times.. I might get into this.... you seem like a cool guy. You and your friend must have fun.... hope to talk to you at some point.

  • Thanks kindly for your comments. I appreciate that.

  • It's modeled after an F / A - 18 Hornet, from the Navy's elite stunt flying performance team called the Blue Angles. I love them.... and I think I might order that same one from the website link! :)

  • how fast does it go?

  • 0-90 MPH.

  • and how much does it cost ? ore some thing like that

  • check out nitro planes if you are in usa. if in the uk these are branded topgun parkflite instead of exceed.

    I just bought a ARTR for 145 pounds (the 70mm 45A version)

  • in what material are this planes made ? and what is theyr weight ? sory for my bad english

  • Styrofoam. Less than a pound. Check the description.

  • how big is that model?

  • They are about 3 feet long. Check the link in the description box to find the exact dimensions. Thanks.

  • very nice videos you have, i have a big heli but i cant fly it good im sorry for my english its because im in mexico right next to roma texas but i love your videos, my little boy say hi! thanks for showing how to fly them and bye.

  • Thanks very kindly. I appreciate that. Happy flying. Dave

  • i love flying rc planes but my faimly cannot afford a really good one like theese but then ifly cheap planes i put a little security camera rom walmart on it and it lets me upload it, and help me land because i look at the screen

  • Great video,i want to buy one of these but i have no flight experience.I just ordered an exceed piper cub to gain some experience.Hope i can fly like you do one day ;)

  • Thanks very much. The cub is a good way to learn. Take your time and you will succeed. Best to find an instructor too, for trimming flights. Good luck

  • Check out RcSuperPowers, they have kool vids as well.

  • Holy CRAP! how many radios do you have, saw at least 10 behind you!

  • At least 5 times that, but I do not use them all. Lots are old and out of date.

  • Nightflyyer I'm a Ten year old kid and i"ve benn flying rc for 4 months- I have a 2.4 Ghz JR 9303 and nitro modles and i have you say you are the best in youtube-You've nailed all you main topics you rock!In my appinon the youtube Rc world isnt very big yet and you are nailing all of it! Thanks You And Godbless! Have a good night!

  • Thanks very kindly. I appreciated your comments.

  • Fantastic review videos, best I've seen.

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • should i get the arttech one or the exceed one?

  • My Exceed needed a special charger and uses 4 cell batteries. If you do not want that extra expence, get the Art Tech, as it flies very nicely.

  • ok thanks i'm saving up now

  • Maan! im just sittin here and watchin your experience been more than 2 hours :) i just have to subscribe.. .

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • On the exceed rc f18 is there any website that sells a stronger nose cone( im thinking about buying it but the nose cone kinda bugs me :/ )

  • I dunno about that one. Jeff made a new one out of paper. LOL. If you never crash, it will survive, though. You could always make one from foam from a Crafts store as they sell foam shaped like the cones too.

  • hey dave. . . great video by the way and can you make a video of you flying the biplane you have behind you in the beginning of your video?

  • Thanks. I have a couple up on it already. See my vid, Vintage Pitts goes down in Cornfield and the other one which was first shows how I restored it and test flew it.

  • Hey great video I subscribed thanks!

  • Thanks very much.

  • Thank you!!! and thanks for the video!!!

  • Could you please tell me how long does the battery last aprox, thank you. And how long you need to charge it for, thank you.

  • 8 minutes wide open, and 12 if you cruise. Takes about an hour to charge with a 1.8 amp Lipo Charger.

  • At 18:08 it reminds me of a scene out of Top Gun even though it was an F-14 and there aren't any landing strobes. Great vid do you think I could fly this I got 6 months in helis doing forward flight and alot of rc sim time, planks and rotory wing.

  • If you know how to land, it is easy to fly. It is the landing that messes up most or when they fly far enough away to not be able to see what they are doing. If you have an instructor to land it and talk it off for you, you should have no problems. Good luck.

  • I like that stunt at 14:57

    That was cool!

  • Thanks much.

  • I had a bad feeling since the begining lol

  • Psychic?

  • I LOVE your videos

  • Thanks much.

  • Is there any difference between Exceed and Starmax in terms of quality and planes?

  • They are made by the same company, so no.

  • fan#1

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • how much did that plane cost?

  • Click the link to Nitroplanes in the description box. I think they are cheaper now.

  • hey whats the max speed of that jet?

  • Between 80-90 mph, we have estimated by trying to clock it.

  • Im thinking of getting the Exceed Tiger Kit, will you be doing a review on it also?

  • That is one very nice flying machine. I just finished the video on it, and I will have it up later today. I love it.

  • GREAT!!! Thanks

  • Love the flyby at 6:44! ;)

  • Thanks kindly I liked it too.

  • your F/A-18 is a beauty :) but it really should be gas turbine powered. Still, it's great.

  • Haha. Yep, but beieve me, I would have neighbors complaining. My last real turbine crashed when the eleveator began fluttering at high speed and the crash ruined the engine and the plane. It cost $5500,just for the engine, and I decided not to get another after that. This is way less expensive, yet still gives the thrill. Thanks for the comments. My Tiger f-18 is coming next. Stay tuned.

  • Wow I can't believe how slow you can bring it in for landings.

  • It takes lots of years of practice.

  • kk men where do u get the hack of money to buy this.... i whant ur trick

  • I worked all my life hard to make some money, and used it wisely. I am now retired and able to afford a few in-expensive machines like this one.

  • Is the A-10 there good?

  • I hope to get one to find out. Stay tuned.

  • lol why did the comment appear twice?

  • ????, but I removed it. :-)

  • Which one do you prefer, considering overall quality, price etc.

I know it would be time comsuming, but comparision tests would be pretty cool, i.e. E-flite verses Esky etc. I know you're looking at doing a TV show. Ever considered publishing a magizine?

  • I already have friends doing mags, but internet and tv will get more coverage. Eflite and Esky are both good and been around a while for parts.

  • man..id love to come out there and fly with you guys..=]anyways i just traded my friend for a storm launcher and those little things are fun! we did the same thing you did to yours and i have to say it works alot better.now im stuck on buying one of those!. ill keep watching your videos for more tips.thanks!

  • Thanks very kindly. Come on up. Stay tuned.

  • R u buying them or r they free so u can review them on youtube?

  • All my life, I paid. I got a few to test just recently, but making videos is not free either, as I spend many hours making a video.

  • I have watched many of your great airplane and helicopter videos and in the backround I see many planes. So, I was just wondreing how many planes do you have?

  • Thanks. I have a few and keep acquiring more. It keeps me young.

  • also were can i get a 4cell charger for cheap???? just a palin old 4 cell charger and how much does it cost and what website can i get it at??

  • same place.

  • nice vid..... i just bought mine right now too bad it doesnt come with the charger how much does a charger cost??? also would it be ok to leave the turing thing how it is (flexible thing)?

  • Congrats. Stiffen it up, because it will cause erratic flying. If you don't, it could make for not smooth flights. You can get a charger for that battery from Xheli or Nitroplanes (see link in description box) for about $50.

  • made in china crap..........@!!!!

  • So is my Sony TV, my cell Phone and so is Excedrin ....Hmmm!

  • boy u sure like buying toys , it's cool!

  • I like toys. Thanks.

  • Your right almost everything we buy is foreign which really bites for us US workers.........MAC

  • Yep. Well we wont work that cheap is why.

  • the pilot is a nice touch

  • Dave, think about it, if we worked that cheap, we couldn't afford to live in the USA. Its the value of the dollar verses the yen. They may work cheap, but they still have "buying power". They don't exactly live in poverty either. Many in the US live (survive) at or below the poverty level.

  • Good point. I have visited a lot of 3rd world country's too, and believe me, I still like it here best.

  • Yes, the USA is still the best. I guess it sucks no matter where you are if you're poor. I just wish we would produce model (and other) products here.

  • MARINES RULE!!! Great vid! Wish I had that kind of skill. My first flight would also be my last! LOL.

  • YESSS SIIIRRR! Thanks. Practice and you will.

    Go for it.

  • what are the two flying next to each other
