@RoboJose777 Just very small amounts - like I give my hamsters a small piece of small piece of carrot and a leaf of spinach one night. I change up the fruits/veggies and do this about only 3 times a week.

@candace2224 There was no training - he was actually a 'rescue'. 'Hisses'? - Wow, never heard that before - she sounds mean - but then again, my experience with teddy bear hamsters has always been: the females are meaner than the males. Just keep feeding her, give her treats (fresh veg/fruit - but go easy), try to get her in a roll about ball. That's a good way that you can get close to them and they will begin to trust you. Good luck.

@HakerzTM they tend to do that. Get one of those rollabout balls for hamsters. Let him run all over in that for about 20 minutes. Then maybe he will sit still for you for a while, especially if you offer him a yummy treat - a small piece of apple or carrot. Good luck

@seyyomayo Well, I'm partial to the teddy bear hammies, BUT, my granddaughter just got a robo dwarf (I think) and she is very sweet - doesn't bite and loves to cuddle - LOL - the hamster, that is. Just depends - they are both fun to have.

Hey dalsch I have a question, I baught a Long Haired Teddy bear baby about 2 weeks ago, and it seems he has a developed a habbit of chewing on his cage, even when I give him chew toys, why is this?!

@varoom300 When my hamsters were young they did that too. Although, Toby never did. I think you just need to let him out in one of those 'roll about balls' every night for about 15-20 minutes. That gives them a change of scenery. Try that and see what happens.
