Opposite charges attract and like charges repel. When I am insulated on the plastic box, my body becomes charged. Hair is light and very fine, so it stands up trying to 'escape' from my scalp (which is also charged the same), and each individual hair spread out because they also repel each other.

Ohm's law: V=IR
V: voltage
I: current
R: resistance
If V stays the same and I goes up, R goes down.
If V stays the same and R goes up, I goes down.

I really like your bonetti machine, nice work, its like it make bigger spark then any wimshurst I see without any brush in the rotor!
