badzed, not to labor the point but I'm including ALL costs, tyres, registrsation and insurance as well as ongoing mechanical and maintenance as required (in Australian dollar terms). If you can do all that for $1K to $2K, than more power to you.
The nice thing about the 928 is its stealthy side. While it can cruise along, quietly, as in this video, at an instant it can roar into life. It will gobble up anything in its path with the power from all those horses contained under that long and slender bonnet. So you see, this video represents one of those quieter moments. Glad you liked it. :)
Actually you are right! They are very quiet when driven "normally", but start talking when the right foot goes down. This is also when the hair on the back of your neck stands up!I own a GT, but haven't been able to drive it alot - will so soon! 928's rule!
928's need to be driven! .. they don't like sitting for long periods! I hope you soon find the time to give your GT what it needs a good Italian tune-up! :)
Matty, Supercharger kits are available for the 928. There's already plenty of S/c'd 928s around. :) Not for me though, I'm more than happy with the power of my 350HP, 5.4Ltr, 32 valve V8 ;)
Your questions can be answered by joining up to either the Rennlist 928 Forums in the US or the Landshark Yahoo forum via the 928 Australia website. There's also plenty of information at the Landsharkoz website in the 'Articles' and 'Tech Tips' section. My advice is to read up before you make any purchase and discover the 'PPI'!
Well save up your bucks .. they are pretty cheap to buy .. but can be expensive to maintain, if you buy a dud! Count on around $5-6k/year for upkeep. If you can afford that, you can afford a 928! :)

Nice cars ! And although I don't mind the music, the sound of the engines would be far nicer to hear !!!

Why don't you put a supercharger on the engine, that would be insanely powerful!

With 350HP, I'm sure you would be more than happy with the power, which is more than enough for the weight of the car!
