It was because he and Justin Lee Collins decided to tease David Tennant when he said that Tom Baker was his first, going into teenage frivolities by insinuating that David was a homosexual, and lost his virginity to Baker, but I'm the only one that was being an adult. David just played along to the stupidity of those two knuckleheads. I love him, but he can be Balthazaresque at moot times.
I think the first episode I watched with him was Planet Death....I'm watching it on Netflix now, and when my dad has it on BBCA in the morning.......I have to turn it off because if I don't I would be late to class.......he's an AWESOME doctor. Therefore I conclude.....im obsessed

um... fave episode - I DID love midnight - brilliant performance and quite unnerving to see the doctor scared and helpless. I also love almost every episode where they go in the past to meet Christie, Shakespeare, Dickens, Van Gogh - I think I might end up listing every episode if I keep going :D

@Micromusecut Well yes S4 finished and I was SO angry and in completely in denial of the new doctor (it was RIDICULOUSLY heartbreaking when doctor describes regeneration as good as death and then they topped it off with "i don't want to go"!! - it was just terrible!!)
But then I also loved Eccleston in a different way so I decided to give Matt Smith a try and I personally think he is good in a different way -

@Awsomousness (CONT) I think the makers were VERY clever as they COMPLETELY transformed EVERYTHING about Dr.Who, so it could not be compared to the old version (I kind-of rejected that in first but then got used to it). So DT's doctor created his own BRILLIANT niche and Matt Smith created his own - allowed me to love the character more than the actor [I loved DT's intensity of emotions and the funny quirkiness of Smith. So yes they ARE very diff. which (to me) makes the character more likeable
.. a new man goes on just with the same memories BUT he IS a new man in a way, like if YOU die and u just transport ur mind into another man/woman/human/gallifreyan! I´ve watched the last episode only 2-3 times cuz I get so damn teared up, cry like a baby.
I love donna and rose equally as much but in different ways, Rose being the love of his life (which I think the "human doctor" proved to us all, man what a kiss on the beach eeeek!) ....to be continued again..!!!!...
