Yes that was such a lovely moment and such a great impromtu trumpet impression that Anthony did. Who wouldn't kiss him for that??? Also I really admire how affectionate Carl is with his friends. I think this world would be a much better place if we treated each other with more love and kindness.

I really miss Dirty Pretty Things :( I thought they were a wonderful band! Regardless of what people say, I loved both albums and I thought live they were incredible, especially at Leeds Festival. I really miss Anthony Rossomando as well, it seems like he's just faded away :(

In my opinion, the Libertines should reform and add Anthony to the line up :)

Exquisite. I think I would have to be dead for Carlos to stop surprising me! I did not see that lipsmacker coming at all. An incredibly private moment, made available to fans... shows the respect for fans the Libertines had never left Carl. Anthony is lovely too, of course. What a bloody loss to music is the demise of this gorgeous band.

I was lucky enough to see them live three times and all times they were electric. Come Closer and Faultlines are from the second album and they're my favorite, absolutely beautiful. So...I think it's a matter of opinion...except your opinion is not a common one ;)

Well, I'm one of the biggest DPT fans you'll find, but that doesn't mean I'm deluded. I've noticed that the majority of DPT fans nowadays are females, who baby them and coo over them like they're a litter of puppies, rather than a rock band. If you listen to live recordings of the band, you'll hear horribly out of tune singing from, well, anyone who isn't Carl, general sloppiness and, towards the end, a lack of energy from Carl.

If you haven't seen any of this, you haven't seen much of them.

I don't baby them or coo over them...that's quite a generalisation don't you think? I did see a little drop of energy, yes, but the rest no. Even with Carl a little less energetic they were still incredible, and I thought their singing was raw and emotional, not horrible. I mean look at Pete Doherty - he's a wonderful frontman and excellent singer, yet doesn't sing a note in tune.

Anyway, must dash, I just saw a kitten and being a woman I simply must run after it and coo...

Pete Doherty does sing in tune, as does Carl. The other band members let DPT down in the singing department. There aren't any videos I can direct you towards to illustrate this, but if you listen to a few more live recordings, I'm sure you'll agree that many are almost unlistenable.

There's raucous (The Libertines), and then there's just plain tuneless singing.

Also, look up Carl's solo shows in San Francisco on YouTube. A shadow of his former self.
