What I find funny is this: the WBC ideology seems to generalize that if you're a soldier, and you die for the country, you must be gay. If you're a jew, you must be gay. That is not true. The United Church down the street has many different walks of people. Neighbours of ours are gay and they are very accepted at that Church. Our Churches up here never promote hate. If some Churches do, they are wrong and not aligned with what Christ would want.

What I find funny is this: the WBC ideology seems to generalize that if you're a soldier, and you die for the country, you must be gay. If you're a jew, you must be gay. If you are part of any demographic that the WBC doesn't agree with, you must be gay. The reality of the situation is that 10% on the human population is gay. 10% of people in the military (statistically) are gay. 10% of jews are gay. And on top of that, 10% of the members of the WBC are gay, but obviously in the ultimate denial.

The big problem here is that THESE people (the WBC) are actually traditional Christians; holding violent signs, lacking compassion for fellow human beings, standing on the street corner pointing fingers at everyone. The Bible DOES state that homosexuals are to be put to death. That is not true. The United Church down the street has many different walks of people. Neighbours of ours are gay and they are very accepted at that Church. Our Churches up here never promote hate. If some Churches do, they are wrong and not aligned with what Christ would want.
Most of us abide by 1 John 4 - over 2 dozen mentions of love in a small chapter, does tell us that Jesus loves us.

Watching these videos really does break my heart and make me cry because these children are being torn from the chances to have friends outside of those with whom they have been raised and the chance to have a life without someone attempting to bring WBC into it, even if they end up shunning WBC's ideas when they are older.
