I was screwing my girlfriend in the backseat of my 79 Camaro while we listened to this game on the radio. She said, " I'm glad that's over," but I was a Caps fan, so I told her to put her panties on and get the fuck out! I Drove the hell out of there and left her there in the woods in the middle of winter. Actually Pat LaFontaine's goal helped me dodge that bullet because she got fat. Thanks Pat!

First time seeing the Washington broadcast. The first long overtime game of the last 30 years. They started to happen more frequently after that. I remember watching it at home at 5:30 and ending at 11:55. I was going to meet a friend that evening and I told him I would be over after the game. Never did meet up with him.

You must be under 22 .. Islander hold the record for most consecutive series victories with 19!!!!! during their Cup run. ... before they were horrible, this franchise was very, VERY good.

I went out that night because I didn't have SportsChannel and I thought that game would be blacked out in NJ. I got home at 11:30pm, turned on ESPN, and wondered why this game was on. I figured it was a tape delay.

Then after a few minutes a logo said, "ESPN Live". I was completely confused. 5 minutes later the announcer said it's 2-2 in the 2nd OT. My jaw dropped. I watched the rest of it to the end. When it finally ended, I was in bed with my arms in the air.
