  • nice bouzouki costa, beautiful resonance

  • Thank you for this costa, now i dont have to turn my monitor upside down every day. Thank you again. x

  • hahaha. Thanks Chaz. I'm thinking of doing piano lessons using the same system. lol.

  • after reading this 5 times i finally get the message. loooooooool. ha ha, ow god. i laugh if you did do the lesson and sombody turned their piano upside down. lol. and then they blame you for it. that will be funny but sad. lol.

  • very nice Costa mou. nice bouzouki aswell, how much did it cost you? im looking for a bouzouki a good 1 with bass like your other 1 were you play senifiasmeni kiriaki with, i was wanting to buy that bouzouki but didnt know were or how much.

  • Sometimes the bass depends on the EQ on my software. I'm lucky also that all my instruments are great but the biggest difference is the way you play and the quality of the accompaniment.

  • ow rite. ok then. well. ow btw. if a metronome is one of those beat machine things with the instruments, do you where i could fidn a good 1 with greek beats and stuff like that for a reasonal price?? i am looking for 1. my bouzouki teacher says i should get 1 for my time. hade. bye bye. sto kalo file mou.

  • Thanks again everyone for your kind words. Have not been in my studio for a couple of days, I shall upload the backing track as soon as I can.

Thanks also for the comments on the sound and looks of my new bouzouki. That compliment should go to Mario Evyeniou.

  • hi costa,

was thinking of getting my next bouzouki from mario. how does your compare with the others you play?

  • Hard to compare. All three instruments have there own character and are all well made. Mario's bouzouki is still fairly new and I would like to have the action lowered slightly, however with a higher action, you get a cleaner sound, so I may leave it as is.

  • @Rialas Hi Kosta, thanks for the great vids - You've inspired me to learn the bouzouki! I've tuned the bouzouki to CFAD but the chords you play in Fragkosiriani sound different to the ones i play - i'm using the same fingering as you but my chords sound different. Is your bouzouki tuned CFAD? PS. Please please make a video on tuning the bouzouki for beginners like me who have never been taught the basics. I've been told the CF strings are tuned with octaves others tell me they aren't. Thanks!

  • @nick73650 Hi Nick. The video you favourited from 5min.com is the correct way to tune the bouzouki(standard way). Yes the F and C strings are in octaves. Here I'm tuned CFAD.

There may be other versions of this song with slight variations in the chords but I try to keep to authentic versions as best as possible.

    Regards

    Costa

  • @Rialas Thanks Costa. Still, my chords don't sound right - maybe i'm getting the fingering wrong...can you recommnend a book which has basic bouzouki chords or bouzouki scales - preferably with tablature. Thanks again for the brilliantly instructive vids, you've inspired me to pick up an instrument again - i last played a violin 20 years ago as first violinist in my school orchestra, my fingers don't work anymore ;( but i'm doing alot of exercises to loosen the rust, take care regards, nick.

  • Costa what can any one say, not only a good musician but a great person at heart ,although it takes a lot more than that to do what you do on this channel, nase panta kala. Christakis

  • Costa I apreciate it very much nase kala!!!

  • Great job Costa, made me a little dizzy but made sense. Cant wait for the backing track.

  • Bravo Costa. And what a beautiful looking bouzouki.

  • nice one Costa...panta semnos kai apsogos....na sai kala...

  • absolutely brilliant. I used to find this song boring to play, not anymore!!

I found the reverse camera idea good. took a few seconds to adjust to what i was seeing, but definitely easier to follow.

Thanks costa for all the effort you put into these videos. i find them a massive help.

  • bravo rialas...

I see you are the new proud owner of a Marios Evygeniou bouzouki ;)

    Nice

  • Hey Costa, I've only been recently watching your Bouzouki Video's and I'm impressed. I can see how people will find it easier to copy what your playing with the new 180 degrees angle but I personally prefer the normal stationary angle.

Thanks for the lesson and very nice bouzouki btw.
