  • i have an m-audio interface plugged into my computer. why won't it show up in the devices in logic?

  • Can you multi-track record with the apogee duet, I want to record guitar and vocals at the same time for a cheap price, what would you recommend?

    Thanks Skillbrothers :-)

  • can i use he mbox 2 on logic 8???

  • do you NEED an interface or mixer when recording audio to Logic Pro 9?

  • @stragmusic you don't NEED an interface or mixer, because the macbooks and imacs come with microphones built in. However if you want to use external mics, for instance, you will need to purchase any device that can change the audio sound waves to a digital sound waves. That's where the interface comes in. Mixers are not really NEEDED unless you are doing big projects and you rather control the input levels or output leves via a piece of hardware instead of the digital mixers in logic

  • This is NOT true. You CAN NOT record even a single fucking sound with iMac unless you have a audio interface or mixer. You can use Built-In Mic but just to get ANY signal to Mac, and it will sound awful. Can't even consider that asa recording option. You will hear high frequency noise and microphony feedback, your speakers will scream and bleed. You can't record guitars, you can't record mic, keyboards, NOTHING.

And that APOGEE Duet looks like a shit but It work I guess.

  • @Vanjal I also had some problems with the mic in but if you use a noise gate at the beginning and transparent preamps it sounds a lot better.

  • @Thisaintjonas No you are right dude, but if you want something that sound even decent (still far far away from PRO sound) you just MUST have some audio inderface, At least cheap small one. I have M-Audio Fast Track MK2 with just 2 inputs XLR for mic and 1/4 jack for guitar and I can make pretty good recordings with this and it's like 120 bucjs or even cheaper 115 or less now so...whoever want to leap into a "Big League" needs better than computer integrated mic.

  • @Vanjal Hey man i want to buy a fast track mk2 or a m-audio firewire solo.So which one do you think i should go for?.IMO i think firewire solo since its firewire.Wat do u say?does mk2 have any problems ,i am gonna use it on my macbook pro with logic 9.:)

  • @Thisaintjonas I sent you a private message, something is wrong with replaying here on my Youtube now....
