I would like to see a tank-test on it to see how it sinks, but I reckon I'll be giving that rig a try.
I think I could confidently throw that just about anywhere and not worry about losing it. I certainly don't throw my King-Shad in spots where I know there's bass but am afraid of breaking off my (way too expensive) lure.

Would the same rigging method work if you were to use a plain hook fed through the back of the Minnow instead of the belly ?

When using a hook like that, basically, you never lose a fish when you have it on the hook right? Cuz there is no way it can come out.

The hooks have been used for years, and they are very light wire hook guard which moves easily out of the way. Just like a brush guard on jig.

I've never used weedguard hooks; how do they not interfere with the hook setting?
