I was a student of st thomas college 2009 and a premanent resident of thrissur {east fort}. all the location of this short film was quite familier for me. i think it was the 2nd short film from st thomas college. 1st one was introduced by PAVITHRAN[cinemotographer] including some of my friends too..
anyway, congratulations for this great attempt.. i attended IFA-CPRACSIS Documentry Film Festival held at st thomas college media campus,was a wonderful programme.
I am no Great Film-maker, but an aspiring one, who believes that negative reviews or the reviews with negative remarks & competition will trigger you to come out with more and more outputs... Whatever and whoever attempts a short-film, I respect their effort... You have taken and brought and good output.
But as I said, let this trigger you to go for higher, both conceptually and techincally.
Once again, you've got a good cinematographer... All The Best buddies..... Expecting more from you all
Frustration.. A good try in this concept. But the work is limited, and relies just on BG Score. You must have input more stuff and turnoil to the same concept, within the duration you set. Technically, Cinematography demands appreciation. Excellent quality output you have got on the screen. And frankly, the portion where he's imagining of being on the big banner was done very in a very cheap manner. That could have been done perfectly by good graphic artists/Vfx people. U compromised there.
Actually, i was expecting a magic there. But disappointed. But I know the limitations of amatuer film-makers, for I myself is one of them. And in PERFORMANCE, I just have to point out a repetation happened to the lead. The artist repeatedly does the same action of scratching/rubbing his beard. That was a negative from his part. The rest was done well. EDITING of the movie was done aptly, goes with the mood, the BG. Smooth cuts were used except at a portion towards the end. That's all....
