Very beautiful! Thank you for this posting. Just want to clarify some stuff. Neil Armstrong's mission was Apollo 11. Also their are shots from a shuttle mission(s) and one shot from the Apollo 9 Lunar Module test mission. Just putting that out there for any young 'uns. If you have further interest in the Apollo program watch the incredible miniseries "From The Earth To the Moon" and the unofficial companion movie "Apollo 13".

I'm not sure which choir. I loaned the CD to someone. A number of choirs have recorded it. If you look on Amazon in their "downloads" section, you can hear clips and pick your favorite.

It is a modern composition (1970?) by Eric Whitacre

Lux Aurumque is a modern composition. Whitacre took a poem he really liked and translated it to Latin and made the piece out of it. We were talking about it in Band because we're using it for art of our Competition Show.
