The performers deserved a sold out crowd both nights. The planning was terrible and it honestly seemed like no one did their research before bringing this concert to Vegas. This was a concert meant for L.A. Hopefully they will come back to the west coast again.
Las Vegas is for a 21 and older type scene and I would say most fans are tween to young adults, so they should've picked a different area and different weekend, if they wanted it to be the most profitable.
I'm 19 and seriously you need to be 21 or have someone who is 21 (who is willing to go with you or take you!) to do anything! So I don't think they thought that through, they should've picked an area meant for all ages.
Hopefully they improve with the timing, area, and advertising next year.
I agree with you entirely! I actually flew from Georgia to Las Vegas for this, but yes this was seriously bad planning. I didnt know about it until the month of the concert. They should've put it in a different area, plus they may be planning it every year on the 25th in Las Vegas, not a good idea. Thanksgiving isnt an extremely popular holday but it is a pretty big family oriented day, so that's probabaly what prevented a lot of people from being able to go.
i am a HUGE fan of kpop and i live in America, where can i go to find out about kpop concerts before they happen? I always seem to find out when it's too late:(
surprised how many fans can't even cross over to one state to see their favorite kpop artists. Seriously I came all the way to Vegas from NY! People need to travel more, but I could understand thanksgiving though. Bleh its not a major holiday 4 me I always skip it :p
@kpopnewsguy The reason that SHINee couldn't come on the 1st Day of the K-Pop Masters Concert was that during the 24th and 25th, they were doing their SHINee World Concert in Japan (I think it was in Osaka...?)
they should've held it in LA or the bay area since that's where there's most fans in the west coast, I could've convince my parents to let me go if it were around there but since it was Vegas (6 hours in car) then it was a nono :/
How about these artist are performing way too much and they are really exhausted? We all saw how Hangeng left Suju. Heart-breaking like that. However, I hope they have a good excuse for their one-day-absence and I hope shinee is doing well.
Contests for tickets? How ridiculous is that. I think tickets should be for anyone, not just people that are confident enough to to actually apply for that.
@chiisanae I don't think its ridiculous for them to have contests for some tickets. Some people didn't have enough money to buy tickets so by having the contests there getting a chance to go see their Kpop artists! I really don't see anything wrong with that. Well, Thats just my opinion!(:
I think it has a lot to do with cultural difference. Thanksgiving is one of the biggest holidays in America and ppl celebrate it. Who ever organized this concert surely didn't put that into consideration. On top of that having it in LV wasnt the best idea either. I heard abt 80% of venue for the 2nd show was empty. Tickets were being giving away for free. Speaking bluntly, you must crawl before you walk. Kpop is not yet big enough in the US to sell out major venues that's not in NYC or Cali.
@love4yah Well it was actually somewhat filled though. But yeah there really was not as much as I had hoped to show up for the concert. It was really good I think more people should have shown up. :(
@ichigoandhiyono that may be true but I also know a lot of tix were given out for free (for Saturdays show). I agree it is good to go to other states, but they can't expect to sell out hugh venues. Starting off small like playing at theatres or even amphitheaters would be better.
KPop concerts always seem to be on weird days like SMTown was on a Sunday (I was dead on Monday cuz I got 2 hours of sleep) and the mini 2NE1 concert is on a Monday -_- there IS school on Mondays...
I wish they held kpop master in NYC >.> my guess is they want to give people more on the west coast a chance to attend a kpop concert? Since they just had the cube concert, SM town, and next month 2NE1~
@keybumie There's no reason to hold this type of concert in LV. NYC for east coast and I am not too familiar with the west coast but it shouldn't have been LV.
@ichigoandhiyono While this may be true they weren't able to sell out like they did in places such as the Staples Center in LA or MSG in NYC. tbh they should go to places that will maximize their profit. But it doesn't necessarily even have to be LA! Chicago would have been cool, I know there are a lot of k-pop fans there.
@keybumie True but always going to the same places is not going to get you popular in certain areas. By going to LV they may have gotten some more people interested and if they ever do comeback maybe more people will show up the next time.
@kpopnewsguy Is good to held at LV, since there's alot of kpop fans out in the west coast. which give them the opportunity to go see the event, plus it's a good way to expand the kpop popularity throughout the country.
I'm kind of interested in the blog writing thing. I've never done something like that before. And I haven't been writing much lately so I think this will help me out too. Expect an email from me in a moment haha. :)

Yeah, I thought KPOP Masters didn't clarify well, but SHINee had a 2 day concert in Osaka yesterday and Thursday. They must be so tired :/

not much of a writer, more of a reporter. maybe i could help you? :3
i went to the red carpet and am going to the show on the 26th (tonight).
SHINee did not performing on the 25th because they had concert in Osaka.
SHINee posted they would play at the k-pop master in Vegas on their November calendar, a few days before the k-pop masters was announced. :)
If you worked for MGM you got 2FOR1 tickets.
Well maybe they thought many american Koreans don't celebrate american culture?
