Excellent video and Dr, Melissa Palmer also has excellent books on liver disease and hepatitis, i highly suggest reading them. very well written and easy to understand for individuals not medically knowledgeable. Good luck to all. Anita
Ok so what happens if I'm already taking Oxazepam for anxiety(30yrs) Temazapam x 20mgs for sleep and 500mg Paracetamol/30mg Codeine tabs (for pain ,caused by Post op Abdominal Adhesions&lower back injury)? Do they just dose me up more.....I'm taking a lot of medication to begin with.Plus I'm Epileptic and the Hepatologist has told me he'd like me on a drug other than Dilantin(200mgs per day 27yrs)!The more I learn about HCV treatment the more confused I become! HELP!
Im up to the 39th week and it was pretty hard when i started out but trust me it will get better later on in the treatment and you'll get used to it later on.
no, on men you start having periods. dont worry so much cause it doesnt help at all, you make it even worse for the liver to recover. liver=2nd brain. make sure you get LOADS of oxigen (physical exercise-outdoor if possible) and rest. that helps heavily for both psychiatric issues and liver recovery
Very good video, I have just successfully completed a years treatment, the side effects, hair loss / lethargy and thyroid complications persisted throughout. However its worth it in the end so good luck to those people undertaking the course of medication. (Am 52 female and overweight so it can be done)
The information you provided on Hepatitis C was very informative and helpful to the many people in this world who are unaware and uneducated with this disease. You are an inspiration for all patients Thank you for being so dedicated in helping people suffering from Hepatitis C
This inspiring video illustrates how important it is for a woman to avoid giving herself a hard time about what has happened in her past - e.g. drug abuse and other social 'mistakes'. It is essential that patients enter into treatment with both eyes on the future, not the past. It's up to us, husbands and boyfriends, to give them all the support they need throughout treatment - and not be impatient or judgmental. Also, we must prepare to weather the storm of mood swings and depression!
You sound like a very loving and understanding person!I see this comment was posted 1year ago.May I be so foward as to ask if treatment succeeded~I'm about to begin.I could sure do with someone like you around.Guess my gorgeous pets will understand,I'm even getting paranoid about not treating them rightwhilst on treatment.Geez this is a rotten disease! :(
I found this video highly informative and a must see if you are a woman are have hepatitis C. Thie video will explain in an easy format how to deal with the side effects of Inteferon therapy and the problems that women face during their treatment.
